Clemson vs. South Carolina on December 12?
Nov 28, 2020, 11:01 AM
|
|
Both teams have open dates. There's nothing to stop it from happening. South Carolina has had no games canceled. They should end their 10-game SEC schedule on December on 12/5 with no games to make up on 12/12.
Does anyone think it could happen?

greatest chance or injury would be running down the hill or maybe during a TD celebration.

Hopefully we will be preparing for acccg which is much more important than beating a team we would be favored to beat by 5 touchdowns.

the game with the holes has been postponed not cancelled..so we could still have that game on Dec. 12 and can't schedule another team.

As much as many of us would like to see it happen, its just a pipe dream

1) the SEC won't allow it - which is why the game got nixed in the 1st place
2) the ACC would probably be more accommodating to letting us try to schedule SC (b/c i think they let Wake have option of scheduling another non-conference opponent in place of their game w/ Duke that got cancelled). However, I think the league will try to make us reschedule FSU on 12/12 before letting us explore another option.
3) a good chunk of fans have made their opinion known (& don't know whether administration & coacjes would feel the same) is that would prefer us not playing on 12/12 to better prepare for potential ACCCG & not risk the potential for additional injuries; unless we had to to keep us at threshold of eligibility for ACCCG berth (which in that case would require us rescheduling FSU)

I can assure you that the coots will not agree to play us under any condition. The SEC bailed them out of that butt whipping.

They actually were the only team that voted to play the games, won't matter though their Daddy won't let them play us.

if we didn’t have bigger fish to fry, it would be great.

But ... now we only need to focus on the big picture.
Scar is not a part of the big picture.

Zero percent chance. S.C. wouldn’t be allowed to and

would have absolutely no appetite to have another COVID exposure just to get their brains beat in by their arch rival. We would have no interest to get sloppy by playing a very weak opponent and risk injury before a potential ACCCG.

If we don’t come out today and play much more physical than we have the last three ballgames none of your conjectures mean anything

It amazes me that people come in here and post these ridiculous questions. It almost like they haven’t paid any attention to the season, at all.
Why was usce not on our schedule this year? The sec is scared to schedule non-conference games. They won’t change their rules to allow us the pleasure of destroying the dirtpeckers.
So to answer the asinine question, no it could not happen.
