Not a huge NBA guy myself

But if you want to watch a dominant player who only cares about winning and is the opposite of LeBron and his cringe takes/politics, Nikola Jokic is worth the investment. I encourage to read up on his upbringing and history. He is the opposite of the NBA diva we all hate.

Good for him and the nuggets.

I pay attentionin the playoffs. Was rooting for the Heat but you can't deny how good Denver is this year. Jokic is dominant and seems like a good dude. Congrats to the Nuggets.

The NBA has been really fun to watch for 5-7 years now

Steph Curry and The Warriors changed the game
Crisp passing and motion offenses with good ball movement.

The playoffs are outstanding.
The defensive effort in the game tonight was stellar.
And yes, Jokic is unbelievable.

Folks who aren’t watching the playoffs at least are missing some very good sports entertainment.

Yeah, anyone that says there's no defense

Not a huge NBA guy either and I certainly don't hate LJ...

I just think he needs to shut his yap, play the game, and spare EVERYONE his self-serving diatribes, political opinions and takes. Nobody cares what he says or thinks.

LeBron James

As an athlete, he's something else. He's physically dominant, but with only half the drive to win as the stars from the 80s and 90s. Kobe might have been the last of that breed of player.

LBJ mildly annoys me with the childish antics, baby powder, the showboating, the tattoos calling himself the Chosen 1, the SC Top Ten mindset ("I don't care whether I win or lose, did this play make the top ten?") and the "King" nickname.

LBJ greatly annoys me with the direct statement "I'm the greatest player of all time," when no player before him, including the truly GOAT His Air completely deflected that title with humility.
  1. The only metric that says "greatest" is points scored. Someone might counter that he's the worst player because he is #1 in turnovers too.
  2. The primary proponents of this sentiment are the people who never watched Jordan play. How can you compare when you've only sampled one?
  3. Those who want to exalt him do so on the basis of "he's so much more than just a basketball player," and what he does outside basketball is what is most egregious.

  4. Here's what I mean:
    • The number of anti-cop tweets he's sent out, even when the cop was completely in the right, is egregious. He's subtly called for the death of "pigs." That kind of thing is not forgivable.
    • His comments on China, or lack thereof, where he could really speak out on liberty and justice for all...he allows himself to be muzzled by the league that feasts on Chinese money. You want to be an Ali? A man of principle who does what's right even when it's not popular? Stand with Taiwan. Stand against communism. The way he criticizes others who speak out against oppression, telling them to "educate themselves before speaking"--it's sickening.

    Rant over.

Meanwhile, the Europeans just come over and play ball, work together selflessly, and win championships. Look at the Spurs of the 2000s. Pop, although quite a liberal himself, knew that getting players who would shut up and dribble, who wouldn't brandish guns on video, and who wouldn't alienate teammates with their egos was the best option.

LeBron James is great player. Simply DGAF about his opinion on other topics.

Also LJ has NOT had any legal problems etc. so some respect for a guy with his wealth at a young age staying out of trouble.

How do you keep Gamecocks out of your yard?
• Put up goal posts
What does a Gamecock grad call a Clemson Tiger grad in 2 years?
