45-0 was worse for me.
I dont get the obsession with 63-17. Clemson played really well that night but I dont ever remember a fanbase being so happy for so long with the score of one ballgame.

I get that it was a huge blowout but all those guys are gone. I dont understand why that particular score keeps coming up. The 45-0 game was even more dominant and I dont remember it being talked about for years like this.

They had no idea that 63-17 was coming. It was a complete surprise, which makes it more fun.

Probably some truth in that. I was 13 when 45-0 happened, though, and had convinced myself we had a chance. Easy to rationalize whenyou are 13, I guess. I have sat through some painful games but that was the worst by far.

I think the stadium was more empty than the 63 - 17 game Conversely the beat down of us in 1975 did not empty the stadium.

Yes it has. When we get our a$$ handed to us 4 years in a row its hard to go back 10 years and brag about 1 game..

lol - ^^^^wasn't at the game watching the hang-dawg look on the faces of the chickens. Never have I seen so many grown men crying in their beer.
It will never become old to me.

with sleet on the way. Clemson wins 14-13 last second field goal. I was 5 lines deep behind the top of the hill....AWESOME moment!

It was so bad it was comical. Personally, the 05 and 07 games hurt much worse because of the first and 35 and Aaron Kelly catch.
Those games actually made me think we were going to win then we got kicked in the stomach.

No, it does not. That is when our program turned and Dabo went out and did something about it with new hires. So besides being a chicken fan, are you now a West Virgina fan also. Do you yell SEC or Big East.

win against you. Not likely at all, I'll admit. But 63-17 doesn't mean a damm thing if your rival can answer back with 70-7 or something. Not that I think it will EVER happen, but I hope it does one day in my lifetime.
I expect that our rivalry will be very close going into the future.
