He could have been dead if he didn't get pulled over. He also could have killed someone else too. He needs to help himself right now. Don't want anything minor to become something major.....or tragic.

I think he could afford to hire a driver. Or at least an Uber. Shame.

If only Brownell was a drinker
Huggins always seemed to do less with more, especially at Cincinnati. Guy had some stacked teams and seemed to always get bounced early against less talented teams

When WV comes after Brad, will we be able to hang onto him?

Would we be able to match a WV offer? Clemson MBB doesn’t make a lot of money. It’s scary to think about. The Brownell Era could be over before it really gets started.

Yeah, I’m sure WVU will be knocking our door down trying to get Brad, lol. My fear is Neff will now give him an extension with a bonus if he wins 1 NIT game at home.

If Brad surprisingly overachieves like that, shouldn’t he get an extension and a raise?

By making the NIT and missing the NCAAT again? So that’s overachieving now?

So, DUI is a career ender? Half the lawyers and judges around here drink and drive. Doctors do it. Half the folks at the games drive legally drunk. I fail to see the huge problem. It is a misdemeanor.

Maybe it wouldn't be a career-ender if he hadn't said what he said on that sports radio show last month, but at this point he's an embarrassment and a liability to his employer and certainly would have been fired if he hadn't resigned.

Also, it's not like he'd only had a few drinks. His BAC was more than 2.5x the legal limit. He was driving on a flat tire and didn't even know what city he was in. He easily could have killed someone.

Absolutely agree. If you blood tested every user on this site after a Clemson home game, my guess is there would be some very awkward moments afterwards.

I work with guys that know Huggins & his family personally....This has been the topic of some discussions in the break room & have wondered when this type of incident would happen & he would be done..I have followed much of his career because he cut his coaching teeth here in Ohio...He is a great guy to be around..funny.entertaining..great coach but just makes stupid bad decisions.& has a disease.I'm sure he feels empowered by who he is..His father was a legendary high school coach here in Ohio.
When you cut to the core it is really a cry for help & hopefully he wants & gets it.

Sports Illustrated article on the top 10 coaches to replace Huggins. Brownell not among them. Shocking.

Why would CBB want to go to WVA? Seems silly to expect to see him on the list
