I believe Dabo has earned the right to get this fixed...

Yes - it is not an ideal season a quarter into it, but a bit of patience can go a long way. We got some climbing to do, no doubt!
I just wish the players would fight for this man, like he fights for them. He backs them through and through (some say to a fault). I'd like to see some players bark a bit at each other. Hold them accountable on assignments....
Quick question to the board: When that day does come (ideally retirement with more 'ships), who would take this job and be elite like we have seen? I think we love what Dabo is about, and I do not see many coaches like him.
Maybe Cignetti (highly sought after)? Who else? Maybe Fran Brown?
Go Tigers!

About living in reality.
The reality is, dabo is being paid to fix these problems no matter what we think.
I'm 99.999999% sure Neff has no intention of firing Dabo.
So at the end of the day.. Dabo will decide to do what dabo wants and we are just along for the ride. The only thing we can do is to show up for the games or not. ..
I can say for sure that I'll be there to support the team as best I can. Everyone Else will have to make your own decision.

Bill Snyder, Joe Paterno, Bear Bryant all had multiple seasons that didn't live up to fans' expectations. They are remembered only for their successes though.
The question is, has Dabo earned that same right?
I'd argue yes, but I don't pay his salary lol.

I agree with you post and don't believe Dabo is currently on the hot seat. At least he is not as far as his boss is concerned.
However, I keep reading that he will "right the ship". And that we all need to be patient. But here's the thing that gets me. THIS was the year the ship was to be righted. We have been told for the last several years now to be patient and that this will all come together. THIS was the come together year. This was not just the opinion of the fanbase. Every analyst and "expert" in college football thought the same. Even Finebaum was on board for God's sake. And as far as the first 4 games are concerned, it looks as if we have regressed.
THAT is why people are upset. Everyone has their own opinion as to why we have regressed.

Never give any thought or credence to what Finebaum says. He's an SEC shrill but has a burr up his butt about Dabo and should stick to his SEC gig. Guess he wasn't/still upset when Dabo said "He doesn't listen to anyone he wouldn't ask advice from. about Paaaul.

Dabo is the coach.. he isn't going any where.
You can continue to donate to iptay/nil.. which will support the football team and coaches no matter what you think.
Or you can stop donating to iptay/nil which will not support the football team, including dabo.
Or.. you can donate to iptay and designate all your donation to another sport.. which will not support the football team or dabo.
What you post on tnet or say at the water cooler is irrelevant.
Money talks.. the internet walks.

Financially supporting the program doesn't mean that you think Dabo...

is the best man for the job. I think we're all hoping Dabo figures it out bc it's best for Clemson football. But a lot of fans are past the point of thinking he will. Regardless, you can supports the program while still hoping for change, be it his philosophy or even moving on to a new HC. IMO, people get this convoluted. Dabo isn't the program.

Your money talks.
If you take it away you send your message
If you donate you send your message.
If you post what you think on the internet then only moo moos like me will pay attention .
Neff isn't here looking for advice or guidance.
Call him with your iptay/ nil and he will listen.
Well.. maybe to you. My pathetic iptay donation probably wouldn't get the time of day.

Agreed, money definitely talks. Im just saying that you can give money w/o believing Dabo is the guy. What youre talking about is sending a message. I do think that empty stands in the 4Q is sending a message to Neff w/o pulling money. Granted that was after weather delays. Itll be interesting to see how the seats look if the wheels come off against SMU.

If I'm Neff, I'm meeting with Dabo to hear his ideas on righting the ship. Problems include: not utilizing the portal, not using NIL, and nepotism vs letting coordinators hire their own position coaches.
If Dabo doesnt have a plan to fix things that deviates from his current philosophy, then how can different results be an expectation. And if that's the case, Neff needs to make a change as soon as we can afford it.

50-16 the last 5 years (‘20-‘24) and a couple of ACC Championships and playoffs. I realize we all want more but it’s not like we’ve had three consecutive 4-8 seasons.
Changes have to be made along with tough decisions. I think he will come out of the denial phase, and at the end of the season, go to work on a rebuild.

There’s no hot seat under Dabo, it’s completely unplugged. There lies the problem. If he can just coast and collect $11 million each year, why kill yourself trying to win a national championship?

"Dabo has earned the right to get this fixed" is a quote tossed around at the end of 2021-2022. It doesn't fit into the 2025-26 lexicon.

Only by people who think 44-16 in perpetuity is a realistic "expectation" in a game of peaks and valleys that college football is.
