in recruiting and transfer portal? check this video out how nice it is. Remember when Zion Williamson was being recruited he said our bball practice facility was better than UNC's. Tar Holes are wanting to build a better one but just on the drawing board right now. watch:

Facilities are only as good as the people who use them.

You seem like you pay attention to basketball.
Look at our last 4 years results and compare that to our last 30 years of basketball history and you tell me.
Since the upgrades:
2 best recruiting classes under brownell Been to the tourney 2 out of 4 years Sweet 16 appearance Beat UNC on the road for the first time ever Beat a record 8 tourney teams in the regular season this year Best non conference results ever

those are good accomplishments, but what are we seeing getting recruits and transfers for this current class? if you take O-Max away we haven't had a top 20 recruiting class the last 4 years, and not getting the best players in the portal?

Emphasis on Brownell recruiting classes. He had one good class rank. Guess what, they said goodbye to the program. Had one coming in but decided nah, not for me. Purnell actually as class rank brought the best in. He's consistently been in the 40- 60 class rank. Is that good?
As for the UNC win. Good but let's face reality, UNC was on the downward slide...
Not sure how much you can glean from this year. It's an anomaly for every team. Covid. We did have some good wins. I just think you're cherry picking stats that fit your agenda of keeping Brownell.
Me, I look at the entire body of work. And, I'm one that puts little stock on history or facilities... A better case could be made for Clemson not being a metro area.
Baylor, UVA, FSU are just a few examples of what coaching and recruiting bring to the table.

Interesting. I thought Judge Keller made it known that we don't have any facilities.

for a year where the wheels completely come off the bus. Only then will a coaching change be made.

Tour of the new basketball facilities featuring .... the football coach. Yup, that is Clemson
Just having a new building does not just rocket you to a nattie -nor is that the argument that having a facility make a program one good. It takes time and development for that to start paying off. UVA did their major investment in 2006 started paying off in the mid 2010s.
Take Liebig minimum - you are only as good as your weakest point. Growth is not dependent on the greatest attribute, but rather the weakest. Thus, you can have the greatest coach but if support, facilities, or history are dragging it down then the THAT is the area you need to address.
For us, not having good facilities doublely hurts programs without a great track-record of supporting basketball because it reinforces the fact that basketball is not a priority. Stronger, programs can sustain a hit-or-miss for a little while but that will eventually hurt (see FSU football). As to UNC, they have updated their area 4 times in the time wqe have updated Littlejohn this century.
The fact that Zion even considered our facilities suggest that we are moving in the right direction as really what happens is you start picking up kids (a better cohort, 1-2 a few year) that would have been turned off by a lack of investment. That is how you build.
UNC can have exposed cinderblock correctional material and just cover it with the banners from the 1920s, 1930s, 1940 etc.
