This is all so ridiculous and excessive but I know y’all think it’s a huge deal so ok I hear ya.
This isn’t all Clement’s decision. It will probably come down to the Board of Trustees. If enough of the donors/alumni get in their ears something will be done.

It is most certainly not ridiculous. A conservative, Christian - a majority in this state - was murdered on a college campus precisely because of his beliefs and willingness to state them publicly. Employees at a school cannot endorse viewpoint violence. Their primary responsibility is the welfare of the students. By endorsing this heinous crime they are encouraging further violence against people of a similar position which creates a hostile campus environment and heightened risk of violence. It is completely unacceptable.

He's not going anywhere. As many have already opined, this issue will be short lived.
Nothing outrageous happens anymore in America. We have monthly mass shootings , rampant dissociation and the slow dissolve of empathy to thank for this .
I don't know what to say about the CU professors and others around the country who seem resigned to indifference or worse , happy about it....but I know that this country has a long way to go to ever be "great again" .

Im personally disgusted by the comments made regarding the Charkie Kirk assassination. I would never knowingly associate with anyone that thinks that it was ok or even a great thing in some cases. Now the other side of the coin. Charlie was killed while exercising his freedom of expression and speech. Im not saying that it's ok and I was repulsed when I read what some people have posted. But again, Im a veteran and I fought for freedom of speech. When people kneel during the anthem, my wife ask me "does tthat not bother you"? I answer, yes but it's thier right. Not that kneeling and killing are tbe same. But posting words or saying things publicly is a right. It's touchy, I understand the hurt and anger, as I also am pissed about Charlie.

Supporting Christian common decency is NOT a free speech issue. He has made a severe mistake in assuming it is. Which is especially concerning when one recalls his bowing to Democrats over BLM issues.
