I’m not sure we deserve to be ranked yet. To be ranked, we would probably need to be second place or so in the ACC, maybe have a 9-1 conference record with maybe 17-4 record overall. Even if we could somehow achieve those standards, we would need a signature win over a good program, say Kentucky or some such program. Until we achieve those goals, these way too savvy sportswriters will not even give us a second look. They won’t be easily fooled.

Well, true. You can’t have enough SEC schools in the rankings, I always say. Just look at how they dominated the FB playoffs. Clearly a great conference.

Not really a big basketball fan and don't remember ever commenting on a basketball thread, but it seems to me as if it's better for Clemson to not be ranked as they lose pretty much every time they have a number next to Clemson. Our boys seem to play better when we are disrespected.

The top 25 has more to do with a team's legacy than current performance. UConn, Illinois and WV all have 6 losses and probably won't drop out. What does SOS matter if you don't win those games.
