There is only 1 team....1 team...that has a legit gripe to not get in the playoffs.
South Carolina
Bama & Ole Miss have terrible losses to Vandy, Kentucky, Florida, and Oklahoma.
Scar has 0 bad losses and beat an ACC Champ on road. And LSU loss was poorly officiated and they should have won the game. Oh, and by the way, they were the hottest team in the nation (or at least the SEC) at the end of the season.
If SEC apologist argue...should be for Scar...no other. Kiffin and Saben and ESPN belly aching about Bama and Ole Miss not getting in. But it was Scar that deserved it over either of those two teams.
But Scar is the little brother in the SEC and they were eaten by their own in the rankings last week by the committee. And they are being eaten by their own in the media with the talking heads who are focused on the wrong team(s) because of branding/propaganda.
And that, as they say, was that.

Excellent assessment Scott. Couldn't agree more and I accept being called a coot but that's spot on. They had one bad game. One play like cade made last night on the last drive from beating them.

Stop pretending otherwise.
Same goes for Clemson vs Louisville. Perceived bad calls by refs, yet Clemson had every chance to correct themselves and win, but just didn't.
South Carolina did not, does not deserve a playoff spot. Don't lose so many games you can't even make it to your Conference Championship game if you don't want to be left out.

Bama had the best case bc they beat SC and JawJaw. Two of their losses were bad though. Committee was right by taking SMU

I think the committee knew that Clemson wasn't really trying against the coots. Our team was completely focused on the playoffs. We didn't have time to pay attention to the pesky coots. That said, it is nice for the coots to be able to play in the Tangerine Bowl. Good for them. That should be fun for the kids too.

For families I’d agree. Go to the game and then spend a few days at Disney world. I think that’s what my brother and his wife are going to do. Go down with their two kids, see the game and then take them to Disney world and sea world.

They had a good season and won there last six, should be congratulated and wish them luck against Illinois.
