CLEMSON, S.C. – The 24th-ranked and fifth-seeded Clemson Women’s Soccer team (12-5-1) travels to Cary, N.C. at WakeMed Park for a Friday night match to take on the No. 1 and top-seed Virginia Cavaliers. The ACC semifinal match is set to kick off at 5:30 p.m. and slated to stream on ACC Network.

The Tigers and Cavaliers have met eight times, most recently in 2020 when Clemson claimed a 3-0 victory. The Cavaliers lead the overall series 15-12-2, but the Tigers have won the last two matches. Virginia comes into the match with a 15-1-2 overall record and a 8-0-2 ACC record. They are led by Diana Ordonez with 31 points and Haley Hopkins with 23 points.

Megan Bornkamp leads the team with 30 points, as she has netted 10 goals and added 10 assists on the season, followed by Makenna Morris with 21 points and Renee Lyles with 19 points. Renee Guion has tallied 13 assists, which is tied for the school record for a single season. Nine Tigers have at least six points on the season.

Offensive Threat
• Clemson leads the conference and is second in the nation in assists per game (3.61) and total assists (65).
• The Tigers are also first in the conference and fourth in the nation for points per game (9.39) and first in the conference and seventh in the nation for total goals (52).
• Seven Tigers have at least 15 points or more this season.
• Megan Bornkamp leads the team with 30 points and is 28th in the nation in points per game (1.67).
• Makenna Morris, Megan Bornkamp and Caroline Conti have all registered a brace on the year.

Conti Sweeps Weekly Awards
• Junior forward Caroline Conti was named ACC Offensive Player of the week for the third time in her career and a member of the Top Drawer Team of the Week for the first time.
• Just a day later, Conti was awarded United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Week for the second time in her career.

Record Watch
• Senior Renee Guion tied the program record for most assists in a single season (13) during Clemson's game against Notre Dame (10/31).
• Her 13 total assists lead the ACC and fourth in the nation while her 0.72 assists per game is seventh in the nation.

On To the ACC Semifinals
• Clemson beat No. 22 Notre Dame in the first round of the ACC tournament, 3-2.
• Caroline Conti, Megan Bornkamp and Makenna Morris all registered goals in the match.
• Renee Guion registered her 13th assist of the season, tying the program record.
