Dabo be let go? That would be two years in a row that it happened. If we did let him go... Chad Morris could be promoted to HC and still call our offensive plays....
Keep Brent at the DC position and still save money. Just a thought.
Would be a way to keep an up and coming talent with us.
Personally, I think Dabo needs to be let go. 1-4 against your rival doesn't usually keep you around long.
So, yes he should or no he shouldn't?

everyone down. We are falling apart at the seams. We were at home against our rival and we lost. AGAIN!!! On national TV... again. Wonder why we don't get any respect? Because we have a cheerleader for a coach, that runs his mouth and can't back it up. All these players we have now are his player's.. offensively and defense...

We are not falling apart at the seams. Take a step back from the ledge.

Do you know how stupid that would be to fire a coach that

has the recruiting pipline filled like he does, has hired some of the best Asst. Coaches in the game, taken the team to back to back 10 win seasons, is co-division champions and a season off of a conference championship. While I agree the drubbing at the expense of WVU is unacceptible, I think we are past that and the other inconsistencies from last season. The only reason no one is offering him publically for the current job vacancies is because they know he is dedicated to Clemson. And idiots like you would let him go?? You have to be kidding me.

Are we going to co-play Georgia Tech in the ACC Championship? Co-go to the Orange Bowl?
It's about as meaningful as a 5th place ring.

tricky question.....here's my 2-3 part answer...............
Nov 27, 2012, 5:15 PM
|
|
1. IMO I think he should, but I didn't think we shoulda hired him to begin with.....I like him he's a good person, but honestly I don't think he brings much to the table "FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE" wise......recruiting yes......but that's just MY OPINION
2. The reason #1 should NOT be done is b/c "on the surface" national perception we just fired a coach that had back to back 10 win seasons and 1 championship.....not the best reputation you wanna have (I know this 10 win season stuff is smoke and mirrors, but the national public doesn't)
3. You could promote Chad........that would at least keep the brains of the operation with clemson (no Tommy/richrod situation), however with him having roots in texas I'm not sure how long he would want to be here in this area........2 maybe 3 more years?????
so in summary
I would like to let him go (1-4 is INEXCUSEABLE) but we "shouldn't leg him go" if we did......don't know about promoting CM....has positives, but could be doing it all over again in 2 years

him another year but he has to beat SC. If an assistant knows he will get the job, he might intentionally lose the game. For all we know, we might be seeing the results of that. If a change is made, it is probably better to start all over nd let the new hire make his own choices. Before someone hollers, I am not implying that Dabo has ever been a part of anything like this and I don't think he is that kind of person but it is not beyond the realm of imagination. I have seen this scenario played out, more than once, in the business world.
