Nice Day on the Lynch River

Oct 12, 2021, 7:16 AM

Sitting in a deer stand watching the sun come up this morning. Gonna be a beautiful day. Makes one thankful to be alive to enjoy what the Good Lord" has provided to us humans. Go Tigers!

Sadly, we probably are not that far away from nonsense like that actually being taken siriusly.

I'm not a morning person and sit in my stands only in the afternoon. I agree, watches God's beauty is a wonderful experience .

It's also a fun paddle in a kayak.

Kind of narrow with lots of trees overhanging. If the water is high, then it could get a little tricky. Mostly a slow moving black water river.

This post and the one about the red breasts bring back memories of my days on the Edisto. My brother and I were either ducking under overhanging trees or dragging our canoe across half submerged logs. A few more things we encountered were the watersnakes and the moccasins sunning in the willows, and the wasps in those willows.

Good memories, but those days are far behind me now.
