I don't know what "assisting" means in terms of any details.
But, I can dream.
I can dream that in a year or two the 3 leagues will merge under the NFL. I can dream that the XFL and USFL will become the official minor leagues of the NFL. I can dream that One of the leagues will become the AAA league and the other will become the AA league (a developmental league designed to train young players who might have a future in the NFL. I can dream that the NFL will set the rules so that high school graduates can go directly to a minor league team and not have to wait 3 years.
And, I can dream that the NCAA (and the conferences) would take that opportunity to actually demand some sort of reasonable academic standards (not the jokes they use today) for their athletes.
I can dream. But, sooner or later I will wake up and realize it was just an unbelievable dream that has nothing to do with reality.
I like your dream..... That way we can get back to the student-athlete in college and the ones who want to get paid after high school has a place to go.
