Trying to watch the olympics with my daughter and when that Red Gerard kid won he sounded like a Tourette's patient.....there were sailor's blushing somewhere at his language. I'm no saint, but for cryin out loud, you're on worldwide TV, act like you're not a total rahtard.

Back then snowboarders still weren't allowed on a lot of mountains and it was years before snowboarders were in the Olympics. I've always loved the winter Olympics and especially love the snowboarding events.
If you're looking for an interesting documentary, watch The Crash Reel on HBO. May give you more appreciation for the risks they take on the half pipe.

So I have jacked up feet and the past couple custom fit pairs of boots I had were tolerable, but mostly miserable.
Last season I bought one of the new styles of "comfort" ski boots...wider footbed, thicker foam, etc, and it changed my life. Never been so comfortable skiing before. Can't wait to break them out next month.

(sorry, still pizzed that I had to bail on my Breck, brah, trip this year)
we might be we, as my feet area supes jacked (ask tdrake®'s son)...wide AF, Plantar fasciitis, achilles nonsense...
since I only do one trip a year and MY boots are pretty beat up, I rent every year....I go thru 2-3 pairs each time, because I'll know immediately if a certain pair will ruin my week

of season sale...it'll change your whole skiing experience. These boots aren't exactly the sexy choice for the mountain elite, so they're cheap....I think I got mine for around $300. If you're only taking ski trips once or twice a year, you'll get 10+ seasons out of them. And yep, that's my feet too...wide, repaired ruptured tendon in one leg, and crazy circulation points.

Made the switch in high school. I've considered trying skiing again in my old age.
My mom quit skiing in her 40s when a girl crashed into her and she broke a couple ribs. Girl was on skis.
