Back in the day when a man's word was his bond, if an offer was made and accepted it constituted a contract. If a man backed out of a contract he had no bond. If there were qualifications to either party's obligation they were discussed and agree upon between the party's at the negotiations before the finalizing of the agreement.
If you can't trust a man's word what value is he? I'm certain these coaches expect a recruit to stay out of trouble and have presented themselves without deceit. I'm also aware that coaches can't really say why they backed off a recruit because of NCAA legalities.
Never-the-less, having more than one or two breaches of contract speaks volumes about a man's word and it's value. This behavior is a great part of what crushed USuCk's program.

Honestly, I love Harbaugh and Swinney. I think Swinney has a better heart, but I love Harbaugh's funny emotions on the sideline. Both coaches are great! I am not sure about Harbaugh's honesty. Unfortunately.

Honestly, I don't think Clemson coaches need to or will talk negatively about Michigan or any other school. That would be completely against what Dabo has stood for since coming to Clemson. And we obviously just simply don't need that to be successful at recruiting.

I frankly disagree with you. All recruits should know about Michigan's reputation. Don't say mean things about Michigan but they should know about Michigan's bad tricks.
