- Future of ACC will be determined - Clemson may find itself in another conference - Dabo cannot continue the current status quo; he will be forced to change, retire or be fired
Personally, as much as I hate the ACC, I think the best outcome for us might be to stay, save/improve the conference, and force some change in Dabo

Maybe he should stop his verbal games and he won’t get it in return. Pumping this team up to be something it is not isn’t doing him any favors.
I don’t want him gone, I want him to wake up and realize he’s driving the program into a ditch.

I don’t need to know how to run it. I can see the direction of it with my own two eyes, just like you don’t need to know how to run a successful business to know when you see a terrible one.

The fact remains that the dude is making 11 million a year for a program that has been regressing for at least 4 years.

If we keep this recruiting and NIL philosophy and there are no changes made in the current CFB environment then yes, I agree staying in the ACC probably is the best option. We would be eaten alive in the SEC handcuffing ourselves like we currently are.

While I agree with you in general, who exactly is going to tell Dabo to change? He's going to have to walk away like Saban did

It is definitely going to change but it isn't going to derail. The dollars are simply too big for the powers in charge to let that happen. Once private equity gets involved the dollars available will be ridiculous. Programs and resources will explode.
The only chance of a derailment is if people stopped going to games and stopped spending money and the reality is the numbers show college football has never been more popular.
This new reality for college football is causing all programs to reset and adapt in order to be successful. We can sit back and refuse to address it but we will just get left further behind. I hate it that it has come to this but it is where we are and it isn't going back.

I agree that the choice is Dabo’s, and it just might be the latter.
It is a tough choice for him. Change, and admit everybody was right; retire, and be vilified as a dinosaur who couldn’t change

I think that Clemson's brand has been / is being damaged so much that we are no longer wanted by the BIG or SEC. Staying in the ACC may be our only option at this point.
Someone posted yesterday that maybe we should withdraw the lawsuit and ask the ACC for forgiveness. Thinking about that a little more, they may be right...

Dabo has made it clear how much he loves playing from the ACC, and this maybe his way to assure we stay in the ACC. One thing that most of us have learned during our life, you never know what someone's mind is scheming to get what they want!!!

I agree with all of these points. The ACC is the easiest way into the playoffs and there is no reason why don’t make the playoffs every year now. Dabo is trying to play the goals down, but the expectation from the fan base should be the playoffs every season.
We deserve better than what we have been getting on offense the last 4 years. Dabo has been a great coach and definitely brought the program to a higher level. He deserves all the praise for that, but unless something changes immediately, he seems have to peaked for what he can do. If that is the case, a change should happen and Dabo should recognize he was given 4 years to get it figured out.

The problem is the others schools are not going to sit still and just let things unfold. They are using all the tools and getting better. FSU, Miami, Louisville, and the rest will move forward while we try and hold on to the past. So, staying in the ACC just because we think it is the easiest way to the playoffs will not prove to be a winning strategy over time.

Past history would support his premise since we have blown them out in 3 of 4 games we have played. The one close one was '97 when we won 23-12.
However, as we all know, past results do not guarantee future success. I expect this one to be competitive.

IMO we stand the best chance going to a playoff each year by staying in the ACC and not having to play the big boys week after week.
