Clemson and osu undefeated then
Clemson Osu Bama/florida/lsu Nd/stanford
Loser of Stanford/nd is is out. Stanford would also have to win pac12.
If bama wins sec they are in If 1 loss florida wins sec they are in If 2 loss florida wins sec, lsu is in
Baylor/okst will have to hope Stanford beats nd and then losses pac12 champ game

Can't say it enough. Leave the SEC champ out of the playoff,

and we WILL go to 8 teams the next year, guaranteed.

I hope its dry weather on a fast field actually, so we shine at our brightest. When I look at that final four I can't help but think if we weren't in it the mainstream media would have an undeserving fourth team in our place. Until this goes to eight teams a deserving team will be left out every year imo.

And then the no. 9 and 10 teams will complain

And their fans will say that some undeserving team got in when they should have been there instead. And they will lobby for a 16-team playoff...
Face it, with the BCS we had a 2-team playoff. To get in a team had to convince the powers-that-be that they were one of the two best teams in the country. Almost every year, there was a consensus top two and a distant third. Once or twice, the separation between #2 and #3 was small enough to argue about.
A 4-team playoff just shifts that line down to arguing between #4 and #5, where the differences are small.
Expand to 8 teams, and you have the same problem. Imagine 16-team playoff...what is the real difference between #16 and #17? At some point, you get to the NCAA basketball tournament, where you've invited teams that have zero chance of winning--or the NFL where a team with a losing record can still make the playoffs--what's the point?

If Ohio State runs the table vs. MSU, Michigan and undefeated Iowa - as defending national champions - they will leapfrog us back into first place, IMO.

Look at how we ran the ball on them.
Stanford will be an Irish blood bath.
