I was under the impression that non profit groups had to be non paritsan to maintain their tax exempt status. Guess this only applies if you support a conservative agenda.

Obviously, influencing legislation is not a substantial part of the NCAA's activities. They are mainly about sports.

as a substantial part of its activities.
Since it's not clear they are doing anything about UNCheat, this HB2 extortion may be substantial.

I don't think you know much about this bill!

"The state has long had laws regulating workplace discrimination, use of public accommodations, minimum wage standards and other business issues. The new law – known as HB2, the Charlotte bathroom bill or, more officially, as the Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act – makes it illegal for cities to expand upon those state laws, as more than a dozen cities had done, including Charlotte, Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Durham." Therefore it discriminates against those cities right to pass their own laws and makes the NC state government a dictatorial entity. "The law changes the way people pursue claims of discrimination because of race, religion, color, national origin, biological sex or handicap in state courts. While the legislature amended HB2 to restore the rights of residents to sue on these grounds in state courts, it shortened the window for filing complaints from three years to one." The law originally REMOVED the right to sue for discrimination! "Charlotte’s ordinance was the first of its kind in North Carolina. Three South Carolina cities have similar ordinances: Columbia, Charleston and Myrtle Beach. They’re written differently, but “conceptually are identical” to what Charlotte did, city attorney Bob Hagemann has said. Those South Carolina cities and more than 200 other cities around the nation where similar ordinances exist have not reported problems with transgender bathroom use." HB2 has no reason to exist except for political pandering. It is a solution to a problem that NEVER EXISTED! If I lived in NC I would extremely angry that this piece of SOCIAL ENGINEERING took precedence over road construction, education, budget, and employment bills!

The 0.3% of people who are actually transgendered are not the real target of this bill. If someone has had hormone therapy and surgery to change their outer sex appearance--or at least are dressing/looking the part--they will not even be noticed.
The smaller fraction of transgendered women who have not yet become men who want to use a men's bathroom are also not really the issue. Women (biological or reassigned) in a men's room pose no significant threat to the men there regarding sexual assault or exploitation. There are not a lot of "upskirt" photos taken in men's rooms and never hear of a woman ###### a man in a men's room.
It is the case that the smaller fraction of transgendered men who have not yet become women (group A) who want to use a women's bathroom are certainly being--unfairly--asked to go along with society and use the men's room instead, in an effort to deny a safe haven to would-be rapists or lesser perverts (group B).
Is it stands, any member of group B in a women's room for nefarious reasons could just say "Gender fluid. Feel like a woman." to avoid any charges of peeping or waiting for a chance to rape, assault, or exploit the women and girls there.
It is not possible to tell group A from group B by looking at them.
So we're trying to figure out how to balance the legitimate public safety aspect and the privacy expectations of approximately 50% of the population (women who would prefer to not have strange men in the bathroom with them) against the privacy expectation of a tiny fraction of transgendered people.
It would be helpful if the law somehow was worded so that it did not impact the tiny fraction of people who have had reassignment and would be just as problematic. That is, a woman who has had reassignment surgery is by all outward appearance a man, and if he is forced into a men's room by a poorly worded law, he's just a man in the ladies' room and causes the same problems.

I'd be happy if the NCAA would just give UNCheat the death penalty and be done with it. They need to complete ONE task before starting more nonsense.
