NCAA 2013 question - Road to Glory

I've created a RB, finished high school and went to Clemson. I started at 4th string RB and by the Duke game my RB was a starter. However, Clemson lost 5 games in a row: FSU, BC, GT, VT and WF before finally beating Duke.

My question is this: WTH is up with the simulatations? How can Clemson get dominated as an A+ team by C teams? Is this a normal experience in RTG or is there some bias at EA against Clemson?
