NC Sate, should we be worried?

Aug 2, 2017, 5:05 PM

Looking at their defense, they got some big boys. Doeren's got some corn fed boys in the secondary.

How do we guarantee a W?

Not w that spelling. Or their last years kicker. :)

Only worried because it's in Raleigh.

Crazy things happen there.

Fun fact, last years game was the first time the "rivalry" ever went into overtime.

Never good to play a team at their house

when they REALLY want revenge.

They've upset us and FSU often there.

I think often is relative as they only beat us once every decade or so

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

This used to be a pretty competitive series

Aug 2, 2017, 5:32 PM

I was bit surprised that we have won 12 of the last 13.

We're 56-28-1 all time.

I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me.

We're the team that should be itching for revenge. Had to listen to all that "NC State should have beaten them", "NC State really beat them" stuff for a year. No let-downs this time, I'll wager.

We need to keep this game circled. I think this is one and Louisville are the two we need to look out for.

NC State will be playing ### hard as they can and Louisville will be playing as dirty as they can.

yeah, doren is a doing a good job with what he has there. They are capable of beating us, at the same time we are much more talented across the board and our coaches are not doing their jobs if they can not find areas to exploit.

Watching some of their film, NC State has some of the biggest DB's I've seen in a long time. Their cornerbacks and safeties are big for players at that position.

doren is doing a great job of finding athletes and teaching them position. They have always been a dangerous team, but doren has also built some depth there too.

Can the Pack do what they and the Tarholes haven't done in a long time, beat the chickens? I'm not worried about a team that can't do that (see the 2015 Tarholes, whom I knew we'd beat).

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We need better focus this year ... take care of the ball.

Aug 2, 2017, 6:03 PM

They came out with a lot of intensity last year and we were pretty lax and careless for much of the game.

That head shot on Gallman and the resulting fumble seemed to set the tone early and then the pick 6 by DW4 was pretty critical.

I think we'll be more mentally prepared this year.

Have a strong suspicion that Dabo will remind them of

last year's performance.

Agree with you. Kind of like the Pitt loss last year, then we finish strong and get into playoffs.

Nope, yep. Dora will implode when we turn the heat up.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yes, "worry" about every game

Aug 3, 2017, 12:50 PM

That's why you play them on the field

Re: NC Sate, should we be worried?

Aug 3, 2017, 12:56 PM

their secondary is turrrrrible. Any NCSU fan will tell you that if they are being honest. Thats their main concern.
