Natl Champ game travel

Nov 16, 2015, 3:29 PM

I just booked flights. Anyone researched hotels in the area and have a recommendation of places to stay?

Yes, I am serious, and don't call me Shirley.

Don't stay at the Radisson near the PHX airport.

That is the best advice I can give you. 300 bucks a night and the ceilings looked like they hadn't been cleaned since 1991. And half of the TV channels had only a floating "DISH Network" logo.

Also the bathrooms are terrible, haven't had a decent update since the late 70s.

The bed was great, but for that type of housekeeping you're better off at the $70 Super 8.

Just curious what airline and about what you paid for flights? I'm on the fence about booking something, and also wondering if they add additional flights if there's increased demand closer to the game?

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

It actually took a little while to find rooms....

almost every hotel we contacted told us there was either;

1 - a four night minimum,

2 - the reservation was non-cancellable, or

3 - there were no vacancies.

Be patient and good luck

Booked flights with points on Saturday. Staying at the Spri

The award flight I was looking at disappeared during the game so I decided to book our award flights immediately. I figured it was worth the $175 to redeposit the points if I had to.
I'm a Marriott girl and since we are 3 adults who didn't want to share a bed, we are booked at the Spring Hill suites at the airport so we will have two doubles and a pull out sofa. A bed each or room for friends if they decide to join us. And I can cancel by Jan 10th.
Hope to see you in Phoenix.
