Shame he couldn't figure out a way to make it work at Clemson - good luck to him wherever he lands.

when we needed him. We did fine without him but I would have liked to have him back and I'm sure the coaches did too. I don't care what he does. Let him look out for number one somewhere else.

Pollard is the far better player but it does hurt depth wise,if he can't take criticism from Dabo I'm sure it will be no easier with Orgeron.

I don't understand why he would transfer? He got plenty of playing time.

He's from Tampa....

so I'll be surprised if he doesn't end-up somewhere like Florida, South Florida, Central Florida or Florida Atlantic.
The entire reason he left the team was because he got homesick and depressed.
Baton Rouge is still a pretty good distance from Tampa.

not sure about that

Heard from trusted sources it was more to do with father who is overbearing and overstepping boundaries with staff on playing time and some upset over being called out after lackluster personal performance in BC game. Regardless of true reason I think we will be better off without.

It would be embarrassing to have your daddy say something to your college coaches. I hope that isn't what happened to him. I guess it's better to have dad involved that not concerned at all. My dad would have said you better get your act together or you'll lose your job....lol

He got ample playing time, but his performance was very average. We needed a dominant RT, but we got average, at best. I watched him very closely, but I never saw an intimidating performance. Good luck with him and his next stop. Maybe he finds what he is looking for. He has the measurables. He just needs the motivation. IMO

His outstanding performance against Carl Lawson did not overshadow his quitting on the team. And if he ends up at LSU, he's a #####.

He basically quit on the team in mid-season, like

Spurrier. I sure as hell hope they can edit hi out of any team pictures that will be used as the official national championship team picture of 1981. Someone mentioned after the natty that he deserved a ring, etc. I thought that was nonsense at the time and think worse of it now. At least I got to see him play at Tech this year in person. Two straight illegal procedure penalties in a row with the team approaching scoring position before the half. He got yanked. That's probably when his feelings got hurt and he decided to quit the team.

I believe that started his issues. I have been watching recordings of last seasons games an just watched th GA Tech game last week and saw him get pulled by Dabo. I could tell Fru didn't like it at all.

He could have visited several secheat teams every year at Clemson and been a part of our whipping their behinds. He even could have played a lot more if he just had been a better blocker. That is what cost him his starting job. I keyed in on his play in several games, and he just wasn't getting it done as well as his replacement. He got beat out by a better player. It's just that simple. I have experienced it myself as a player, both in gaining a position and in losing one. I should have been a better performer. That is not the coaches fault.
