For some reason I had the LAD as the only big payroll left of the four, but Toronto actually has the 5th highest payroll of any team. Shocker to me.

Anyway, good artilcle about upcoming salary cap some owners want - seems like the fact a lot of lower payroll teams at least make the playoffs negates the logic here:

do not always equate to championships. There is something to having a cohesive group of men with a strong leader. These teams with huge payrolls and 3-4 "stars" on the team usually have more problems than wins.
