My Order Of Priority To Change CFB.

1. Tampering. Something must be done. It's fine in pro sports if you are contacting players who are under contract with you. Something has to be done.

2. NIL transparency. Why is it okay for everyone to know a pro player's salary? Make it known what these kids are getting and the details in the deals they are signing. Mostly so it can be reviewed - I don't care how much they are making. Just make sure the contract and any "stipulations" are gone over by someone of authority.

3. Super late transfers. Tighten the transfer windows and have tighter times when you can announce a transfer. Should be in step with tightening down tampering with other people's players.

4. Shorten up the obvious dang replays. It shouldn't take 5 minutes on most of these calls. The officials in the replay booth and field are on a shot clock: 30 seconds and you need to make a call.

***All of this - if I had the power of course. What would your list look like?

1. There is no tampering, because the college athletes aren't employees. NIL isn't a contract between the school and the players. Apples, meet oranges.

2. NIL transparency? No I e other than the athlete and the NIL sponsor has the legal right to know what the contract terms and amount are.

3. Late transfers? They're going to be allowed pretty much up to opening day kickoff. Again, restricting this is going to cause a spare of NIL lawsuits. The NCAA has already burned their fingers on that stove.
They're in no hurry to do it again.

4. Replay? Lots of these aren't obvious. I'd rather have the officials get it right than get it wrong quickly.

The inky things I'd change is to get rid of the ACC GOR and to tell ND to join as a football member or try to play Central Michigan or Ball State 5 tines every year.

I believe the IRS would lime to know the terms of someones NIL contract. Also, I think it should be out for everyone to see. Makes things fairer

The IRS already knows what everyone makes from NIL.

It's reportable income.

Again, no one has the right to know the terms of a contract...

...if they're not a party to said contract.

I think it makes it more fair as well.

More directly said, "I think it prevents language from being in the contract/agreement to sabotage the team you are on"! I might be wrong; but there is specific language in pro contracts that started decades ago; not to basically take payment to change the outcome of games. Which is my thought process about the transparency of these deals.

How are the players not employees if they are being compensated for their Name Image Likeness? They are "helping" make money or supporting something for compensation, no?

Bluffton OrangeMan
1. They aren't employees of the school. But, why are they being given money? They are employees of the entity that is giving them money for their name image likeness.
2. The reason this needs to be regulated is to prevent a payoff in terms of sabotaging games. What is to prevent a NIL sponsor from telling a kid to blow "such and such game"? Maybe not the amount of money; but some-type of "oversight" of these contracts needs to happen.
3. I get it. But, if you transfer outside of the tighter window - I would propose - you have to sit out. If it's worth it to you; sit out. This way; you aren't being stopped from doing something you have a right to do. But, the school you are leaving who has likely spent a pretty penny on you in some capacity - isn't out butt booty naked.
4. Of course, some calls aren't that obvious. In anything just about, there are exceptions. But, you don't make the rule for the exceptions. The majority of the calls I have seen since replay started could be answered rather quickly. Refs pre replay made a call and you lived with it, no? Well, make a quicker judgement based off video review and get the game on with. Now, the call on the field plus a quick video review hopefully gets it right. If not, we are back to where we were pre replay. Note: there are calls that have taken forever that many people still think are wrong! So, the idea of "getting it right" is subjective TBH with you.

And, as said, "No Championship games on the weekday! It must be on the weekend! With streaming being so prevelant now, "the idea of primetime is antequated"!

1. Find Beth Mowins a nice behind the camera job.

2. Outlaw the pronunciation "Clem-zen"

3. Move the championship game to Saturday night

I love #3. I can't believe, I didn't have that on my list.

It makes me sick every year with that. Not only do I have to work the next day(particularly when Clemson plays which means i'm likely a nervous wreck). But, CFB games are long. So the game gets done super late.

Look at all the "pay per view events"! Saturday! Why? Because that's when most people have time to watch "SPORTS"! You might get more casual fans if it were on Saturday! Prime-Time isn't what it use to be back in the day; with the ability to watch your show anytime you want to.
