When you sell your soul to the NIL debil you expect to get something in return.

Instead, we're playing exactly what it looks like -- soulless.

It's an inferior product, far inferior product than the NFL. It always has been, but there were tangible and intangible reasons to love college football and the college football campus experience.
Were is the operative word.

We all know there were under the table payments, etc. in the past, but no way those players were getting the type of cash they get now.

It now has a lot of the undesirable traits of the NFL without any of the positive traits. At least as much as I remember of the NFL. I haven't watched an NFL game in a while.
On top of that, when people are getting paid millions of dollars at the player and coaching level, I want to see a decent product.
And if you're like me, I enjoy being outside in Autumn. Unless it's a night game, I go to a game, or it's the Gamecocks I'm probably not going to watch.

This^ We spent all day with family, outside, grilling, etc... games were on in background but not the "focus".
Im glad I experienced CFB and our last run before all this new stuff.
Now it's just background noise.

Now the payroll and nil. I think I've watched 3 quarters of play this year. Not sure what would draw me back in.

Unfortunately we have the horses for a great team but they have not been coached well and I feel some are taking the $ and lots of plays off.

I put most of it on the way we have looked the last 3-4 years. Just a continuous decline resulting in nearly an unwatchable football team.
It's like rewatching a low budget movie that sucked to begin with over and over again. My rewatches of Frozen and Mulan are more entertaining.
We have failed to innovate schematically.
We have failed to hold the staff accountable.
We have looked downright uncompetitive in comparison to other ranked teams out there. The Ole Miss Arkansas game was entertaining for example.
It's pathetic. And insulting. The town, school, fanbase, state, everyone has given this school everything they need and they show up looking like we're interrupting their daily ####### schedule.
Couple this with Cal in the ACC and Oregon playing at northwestern.
Texas hosting recruiting weekends with a red carpet lined through Lambos.
#### the whole thing. I cut my grass and got weeds out of my curb during the second half. Sure I'm glad Tech won but I can't watch Clemson football look like my local high school.
Downright ####### pathetic.

Agree w all of this, plus we’ve had to listen to Dabo gaslight and talk down to us like the fans watching the ###### product on the field are the problem, like we don’t know what we’re seeing, as the cost of going has simultaneously only gotten higher and higher. I dropped my tickets after the 2023 season and don’t regret it even one lick.

1 or 2 plays from 3-0? #####, you're very lucky you ain't 0-3.
Give the man his statue under the terms he sees himself out and moves into the front office.
I no longer believe he's going to change.

I think he has changed.
This isn't the hungry guy who fired his OC and DC fairly quickly after they weren't able to produce results early in his HC career. This doesn't seem like the Best is the Standard guy. Also doesn't seem like a guy who enjoys his job way he used to. Of course, he's also the guy that got Clemson fans a little spoiled.

All inclusive in the Caribbean also falls in this category
I mean, theoretically, there's roughly, what 40-50k people who donate / allocate 5-10k per year on this? I'd be ####### IRATE if that was me.
I'm irate I have given them the time, I couldn't imagine being a booster level Clemson man and putting up with this garbage.
Could be the Hillcrest HS side of my family coming out though, haha

We trotted DJU out there for about the 5th game in a row where he looked like a rahtard in 2021.
The pain of watching has been acute and constant since that timeframe - about the same time Dabo started lecturing the fans everytime his team showed up and played like dog #### against good teams.

I think it does have to do with the transfer portal and NIL. There was something about seeing the players on campus and feeling like they were a part of the school. Now, the players transferring in and out (especially basketball)... they arent a part of the school anymore. Even with the low transfer in football, (someone mentioned above) if you have your money, why risk injury... why not take plays off.
I think it was Shaq Lawson that said there are not any more dogs on the team... most probably care more about the money than the school. I was thinking about my situation with the business and the properties... what I am willing to give up to keep them going. I am not sure they feel the same way about Clemson as I do about my passions... because they do not have the passion for it.
I dont know... something is just missing now in college football for me.
GET OFF MY LAWN!

last year, the faux national champion outbid others for their paid for qb and rb who accounted for 28 of their 34 pts. in national championship.
all you have to do now, if you need a experienced star quarterback or a running back etc is offer more money
