Unless CDS makes the much needed changes, primarily sitting DJ2, we will finish 6-6 at best. I see two highly probable wins on our remaining schedule (at unc & furman). That’s it. At sc, at Louisville & fsu here are Ls. Its crazy. I do agree with CDS. He’s taken us to the promised land twice and he CAN do it again. But he MUST totally overhaul is recruiting & development philosophy. We are in the semi-pro football era. D1 college is no more. Heck, our best performing defensive player this year has been a portal guy, Will Heldt. I really, really, really hope CDS still has the fire & the will to change and once again be successful.

what makes you think he can do it again?

The structure of CFB has changed and he said long ago he didn’t want to be part of it when it looks like it does now. So why do you think he’ll completely change and adapt to professional college football?

That I believe CDS loves Clemson. Ironically, he made that exact statement in his post game press conference. When you love something, you do whatever it takes to nurture it and help it succeed. Even if you don’t like some of the actions you must take, you do it because you love it. I believe he will take the necessary steps to get the program back to prominence no matter how much some of those steps will hurt him. That’s what I believe. I may be wrong. If I am wrong, Clemson University and William Christopher Swinney will part ways.
