He said Clemson was a dream job for him. He was actually a lot classier about it than he needed to be especially when you account for all the meddling he had to deal with.
Sucks he went back down there but I’m sure that’s the best job for him and his family right now

… sometimes you have to take a step back to take two forward.
There are life lessons learned with struggle and challenges … and with the right amount of introspection, you better yourself and move ahead.
So no use lamenting Monte … Pat him on the back and wish him well.
Just like with no Tommy West, we don’t have Dabo… and with no Monte, we probably don’t have Bakich. 🙂

I had just thought we had struck gold. Big mis evaluation on my part. Never remember Clemson baseball looking that bad.
Dang can you imagine what some consider to have been a solid coach in JL being replaced by this guy?
JL had to take that as a big slap in the face.

Lee’s record at CofC was virtually identical to Pawlowski’s. Pawlowski had already flamed out at Auburn. So the idea that Lee had hit some ceiling and was ready for a bigger program was hogwash.

I thought it was a great hire when we got him, and I was really surprised when he wasn't successful at Clemson. I always liked him and hate that it didn't work out here, but I wish him well, but I cant pull for the coots.

Doesn't matter who the next job is with. He got fired. He didn't sneak out in the middle of the night and run to columbia. He got fired.
For most of us, when we lose a job, we have to find another one. That's business. Don't take it so personally.
