that he was going to each. He handled himself very well in the process. He kept all three doors wide open until the bitter end. Clearly he was an oversign for all schools, but you can't blame him for not taking any chances and keeping all options wide open until the very end.

So you like to wish players who don't choose Clemson well but feel free to rip those that do choose to play for Clemson - interesting logic.

Attempting to be objective I'd suggest that his having turned toward us in the first place was media hype.

His relationship with Carl Lawson affected that decision some no doubt and those two did mention they would like to play together, jus went to the wrong Tigers, that we beat the past two seasons and should have whipped them three years ago, did it everywhere but the scoreboard!

Distance from is home/mom was a big factor plus he and Carl Lawson had become friends so he felt more comfortable at Auburn. If Lawson had flipped to CU then Adams would have committed also.

Distance was my perception too...

Anyone who's been to that part of Georgia knows the small town feel. 10-15 mile drives are considered all-day journeys.
I imagine he and his Mom had trouble wrapping their head around the trek up I-75/85 to Clemson.
Auburn is closer and it feels more like south GA.

on him by Auburn. I think he got caught up in the SEC hype and in the chance to play with Lawson. Im thinking he was convinced also that Auburn was 'staying close to home' and Clemson was 'moving away from home' based on one of his comments. Its not like Clemson is that much further.
Oh well, its over now.

and Clemson at various points during the last 8 months. I have heard Lawson was involved in getting him money (same with Alexander) but that isn't true.
Rodney Garner was the difference with Adams; he liked him all along. Same with Lawson.

You really only need 5 for a good rotation. We got 6

Adams was not a Need but rather a Want. Alexander was much much more important for our team then Adams was. I'm not 100% sure that he would have started from day one. Alexander is all but assured a starting spot opposite Breeland next year as long as he doesn't get injured.

We get martin jenkins back, he was our best corner. I would like to see us now move breeland to safety with the influx we have at corner and with the development of gary peters. Breeland would be a great safety IMO

Let's be realistic, he was a big loss. However, I never really bought into the idea that he was a lean to Clemson. Never felt that we were really in it for Lawson. I wish them well.

It was a bit straange that his father went alone to talk to Auburn. Cam's Dad worked out a pretty good deal also.

Regardless. I'm very impressed by Adams. He showed a ton of maturity in the way he handled the whole recruitment process. I wish he was ours but can't help but wish a man of his caliber the best. He would have fit in well with our program. Good luck mont. we wish you well. A transfer is still welcome hahah.

But like 74 Tiger, I'd love to know what went on behind the scenes at the last minute. This unnamed (as far as I know) handler/mentor seemed to come out of nowhere to blind side our coaching staff.

It's a simple question. Can anyone seriously tell us who the the last minute handler/mentor was? I asked this before and I suspect someone may have identified them on clemson.rivals I'm not paying for access currently though and I don't care enough to pay for it. So if anyone does please just humor us and tell us. Thanks in advance.
