From everything I am hearing he knows Clemson is where he will achieve the most, fit in and grow into a star. But NC State is close to mom and Girlfriend (one he will dump as soon as he gets to school anyway). I think in the end he will be all in and put on the paw!

We will go on as we have when a kid has said no to Clemson. This won't be the first nor the last time it happens. We will win some, we will lose some. Hopefully we win more than we lost. Either way we should be happy that he even had us in his top 3. It shows that we are in on a lot of kids. It is a big decision for a 17/18 year old kid has to make. Hopefully it is in Clemson if not, I will wish the kid good luck in what he does. No bashing will come from me.

Tiger is what I believe and hope he says. We will be deep regardless but he could help us dominate the line of scrimmage and help us to our 3rd or 4th national championship.
Playing next to Wilkins would be a great tandum to disrupt the line of scrimmage. I hope Dabo got tbe last word.
Go Tigers!

What 4 hours ? I drive 12 hrs one way to get on a tugboat and work 12 hr shifts for 3 weeks straight ! Then I drive 12 hrs back ! C'mon Dexter , Clemson will be worth the short commute of 4 hrs !!!

WF is 20 minutes from Raleigh. really only about 5 minutes from city limits but State's campus is 20 minutes.
he will be real close if he stays and what will feel like an eternity if he comes to us. I still hope he will be wearing the Paw today at 3:30 but momma wants him close and 20 minutes is pretty darn close.

I am not expert or have any inside knowledge. However, it appears that staying close to his mother is a big priority. I would prepare myself for disappointment. If he chooses Clemson that will be a little bit of a surprise I think.

Huge difference between 1 hour and 4 hours

my kids are an hour away at State. It's awesome for me. I wouldn't want them 4 hours away.
And before you say anything, I've got two girls that I raised by myself. I understand why an 18 year old might want to stay close to home. I understand why a momma might want her kid close to home. I understand why he and girlfriend might want to either be close or at the same school.

Close wnough so you can run home any weekend... Far enough away that you feel like you have your own thing going.
Sometimes you have to make the best decision for you, not other people or your family or whatever. You have to live your life.

That's all well and good. You seem like a very honorable man, but this is football and opportunity. Tell what you just said to the professional scouts in charge of draft scouting. The NFL doesn't give a #### how sensitive those kids. If he chooses State...fine...but sometimes that support structure in your life can drag you down more than pushing you forward.

WF is 20 minutes from State's campus...I live just outside of Wake Forest and commute to downtown everyday for work. Across from NCSU matter of fact. If he stays close to home and attends NCSU then he will be very close to momma and GF.

think Clemson is too far away.
This will come down to what Dexter wants to do or what momma and gf want Dexter to do.
It is still a toss up.
