This guy would be a great fit for us. Alpha receiver, etc.
But we won't pursue him because we can't compete in NIL or need a long snapper or something.........we have got to get this fixed.

Couple of good receivers that would fit our new offense in the portal. Biggest hurdle right now is we are still over the scholarship limit...so barring a change in that status we can't pursue anyone.

Chances are when the good receivers hit the portal they've already made a $deal with another program beforehand.

Try to keep up. Two spots just opened up AND we can walk back a walk-on scholly......it's almost as if you DON'T want this team to improve.....so yes, there is room for one.

The kicker did not have a scholarship so no open there. Also what if the transfer player is a bad apple and that is why he is leaving his original school.

So when posting this, you must have thought at some point that we may pursue him. Why would we go for him if not any other single player in the portal? Dabo won’t do it.

With the portal. It would be hard to plan long term and that is usually the key to long term success. It’s pretty much fly by the seat of your pants in todays CFB. Dabo had it figured out but I am not sure we will see any team continue with consistent success in this era. I expect Georgia will take a step or two back this year

But yes, we should have went after a WR transfer. I saw his name pop up yesterday. He would be someone we absolutely should pursue and go after.
The “we’re over scholarships” argument is very weak at best.
