back in 96 you just posted under any name you wanted to. If someone "stole" your name you could check their IP, but there was no login in 1996 that's for sure.

I did register before the date on the screen. Don't remember anyone being able to take my screen name either. You might be older than me and forgetting stuff. :)

was the day that they rolled over everyone's login. They didn't have them long before that, but that is the day. That's why 100's of us have that date. I am number 100. I started coming here early 1996, they started it in late 1995 as a senior EE project.

I think I am like 1140... but also showed up in '96. Not real sure if that number is from my first name though... For some reason I cannot see anyone's number by enrollment - not even my own. I do remember the role over date
