I go down this morning to check on the chickens, make sure they're doing OK with the cold weather. Feed them, make sure water line not frozen, etc. They had only laid 4 eggs overnight, so I just slipped 2 in each jacket pocket.
While I'm walking around, I notice a couple tree limbs that had broken earlier in the week from last weekend's snow/ice storm. (translation -- **I became distracted**). So I go to the shed and get the chainsaw out. Go back down and cut the limbs, drag them over to the burn pile.
Yes, operating a chainsaw with 4 raw eggs in my pockets (hey, who HASN'T done this?). Needless to say, they became 4 broken eggs in my jacket pockets.

Thank you for making me feel better because I do crap like that all the time. I have had to place a new rule on myself. I have a bad habit of turning on the water to the horses and then doing a few chores while it fills up. Let’s just say several huge water bills have forced me to forbid myself from ever walking away while water is running.
