Memorial Stadium Question

Mar 12, 2013, 7:46 AM

I need to buy 2 tickets to the UGA game. I like an overhead view, but have always wondered about the view from the first row of the upper deck.

When seated in the first row of the upper deck, does the hand rail block the view of the field?

In my experience no, but I am a taller guy...

But I'm not sure you'll be able to find a pair in the first row upper deck, they're usually donor seats and I can't say I've ever seen any for sale...

At face value, no - there won't be tickets available. But I've never had a problem finding what I want, so long as I pay for it.

Top 2 favorite places to sit in upper deck are the first row (rail is so low there's typically not a problem unless you are very short) and sitting directly above the portal. Less foot traffic and unobstructed view from other people standing or moving in front of you.

Thanks - that's what I hoped. I'm 6'0" and my buddy is 6'2", so I guess we'll be OK with those seats.

You are not next to the aisle, depending on your position people coming out of the portal tend to walk out and stop to look and block your view.

Thanks. I don't think I'll have the luxury of seat # selection, so I suppose I'll have to take my chances on that.
