either conference priority. He thinks that all of the Magnificent 7 will be out of the ACC within 3 years. He seems to think that the SEC would prefer NC State and Virginia Tech for obvious reasons of expanding footprint even though the business model now is not what it was in prior expansion rounds.
If that is the case, that leaves the BigTen who would have all of the following as possibilities:
Washington
Oregon
Virginia
North Carolina
Miami
Florida State
Clemson
Notre Dame
Georgia Tech
He does think that the Big would be interested in going down the eastern seaboard. And with only Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State, they could use a Florida State and Clemson just for power. But it still seems like we are an afterthought.

Ole Greg has a big dislike for Clemson because we beat Alabama in the playoffs & embarrassed them 44-16.
If he could do away with Clemson, he would.

Every conference would love to have a proven PO team added to its ranks. I do not know why folks can't see that. Clemson also contributes to TV revenue. Imo, our issue should be: Do we really want to share our PO money?

Greg is very wrong here. I'll leave it at that. This is what he is HOPING. Anyone who knows anything abt ACC FB knows you would never pick NCSU or VPI over CLEM....its sadly laughable he would argue that. Pathetic actually. Greg is smarter than that but his pride is taking over....

His butthurt from the Bama Beatdown is still showing. I'd tend to discount what he says. While I wouldn't rule the B1G out, SEC is probably where we're headed. Much to Greg's dismay, I might add.

He is wrong to some extent. I think conferences are more interested in whether a school can get in the CFB playoff rather than geographic footprint. The payoff to a conference getting in the playoff is far more lucrative than where it is located. They rather have 3 schools in one state that have a good chance to make playoffs than 3 in different big states with virtually no chance to get in.
