McDaniels

Feb 18, 2014, 9:20 PM

So based on tonights game I would say McDaniel was clearly the better defender, but Warren was the better of the two on offense. I find it interesting that Warren wasn't on the ESPN top 25 players list despite him leading the league in scoring by a fairly wide margin. I believe if McDaniel improves his offensive skill set similar to the level of Warren and produce in the 20 ppg range next year, he could challenge for ACC POTY. Thoughts?

PS- Don't hate on me for thinking highly of how Warren played on offense tonight, just looking for reasons why McDaniel should stay for his senior year, and improving his offensive skill set is definite a good reason IMO.

IMO - McDaniels will continue to get better offensively. As he gets better with the ball - he has the chance to be a special pro. Dwayne wade ish.

Had something to do with who else was scoring

Hall and Nnoko were putting the ball in the basket tonight, and we also got help from Blossomgame, Harrison, and Filer. Meanwhile, nobody else but Warren was scoring for NCSU. Sometimes one guy having a lot of points just means nobody else on your team is scoring, which we well know.

That said, I agree that if McDaniels were to improve his jump shooting to get to Warren's level, he'd be truly elite.

KJ will get some votes for ACC POTY this season

but if he does come back (which I think he will) and improves on his jump shot he will be a top 10 pick next year, he would be a nightmare match up at 2 guard.

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

I do not think he will qualify for ACC POTY playing for

the Boston Celtics. Just my opinion, I want him to stay but he will be a first round pick in the draft if he goes early.
