UGA Recruiting

I was reading thru Clemson Paw latest update (which are awesome by the way) and he was saying how hard it was going to be to pull a guy like Delp away from UGAY. This immediately made me say, didn't they just get Arik? I wonder who else they already have there? Well lets look:
Arik Gilbert- SO 5 star (ranked #1 TE in his class) Darnell Washington- SO 5 star (ranked #1 TE in his class) Ryland Goede- RS SO 4 star (ranked #7 TE in his class) Brock Bowers- FR 4 star (ranked #3 TE in his class) John Fitzpatrick- JR 4 star (ranked #17 TE in his class) Brett Seither- RS SO 3 star (ranked #34 TE in his class) Michael Hargerty- RS SO can't find any info Chase Harof- SR can't find any info
Now I understand that the guy is from Georgia, but this is the stuff that makes no sense. They don't even use TE's except in run block.

It won’t matter so long as Kirby is there.

Gilbert is being brought in to play WR, so probably doesn't factor into Delp's decision.
Washington will almost certainly leave early after the '22 season and Fitzpatrick will be a SR in '22. Really leaves only Brock Bowers as competition in '23 and beyond, as the other guys are really just depth pieces and not starter material.

They over recruit...it’s been wildly known....There is a logjam in the QB depth chart incoming too.

One of Dabo and staffs biggest recruiting pitches is you don’t have to worry about them getting a guy in the transfer portal that hasn’t been a part of the team and doing all of the things that guys within the program do daily. I don’t see them ever changing that policy

Sounds like a pitch that will work on guys that are scared of competition

I about fell out into the floor when I saw the 247 spin on Kirby and the Portal. They actually wrote an article acting like Kirby is on some cutting edge mentality, for using the portal as a need to fill all their holes. Bragging about failing the players that are already at UGA. Either failed to evaluate initially, failed to coach up, or keep them there. ??

The last two guys you listed are walk-ons and Gilbert is playing WR. Several of those guys will likely be gone by the time Delp hits his sophomore year, and a couple he’ll likely pass on the depth chart by the end of his freshman year.
A lot of people don’t realize it, but UGA has had a TE drafted in each of the last 3 drafts. Fromm is one of the main reasons for lack of TE targets, for whatever reason (too short to see over the line?) he didn’t like throwing over the middle of the field where TEs are usually found.

No, we realize it over here. Must be a heck of a blocker or already came in with what it took them to get drafted.

Especially if UGA fails to utilize any of those in the passing game. I have posted that and how our guys will/the possibility to be more utilized with Elliot coaching th TEs now. Is is not like we are up North or out West. ####### is right at the 85/985 split. I can make that drive (from ####### to Clemson) in about an hour and a half, hour and fouty-five minutes tops.

Really tnet? If Delp does not commit to Clemson I am blaming it on us not being able to list his hometown without it getting sensored. ??
