Maybe I am just old ...

But, celebrating a man who has contributed to Clemson football both as a player and as a coach getting fired is indicative of our selfish society.
Did he deserve to be fired? Probably.
But, having the "dancing on his grave" mentality is not the proper way to act. Better to say, "It didn't work out, and I wish him well," is the gentlemanly thing to do.

I think it best to take that strategy whenever these things happen.
Bowden? Shake his hand, thank him for his effort, and wish him well. Kelly Bryant? Shake his hand, thank him for his effort, and wish him well. DJU? Shake his hand, thank him for his effort, and wish him well.
Any coach or player who moves on (by choice or otherwise)? Shake his hand, thank him for his effort, and wish him well.
What does it gain you to do otherwise? It seems a lost art of civility.

Yes. That is the way a mature individual or a professional would handle it.

I don't think that the great majority of our fans would celebrate someone losing their job, even if it is the correct move.
However, some people are just low class and it shows in times like this.

I’m sure I’m old.
It’s sad to see Tigers go, doubly so with Tigers that represented our beloved school so honorably. I’d proudly break bread with either of those Tigers anytime anywhere.

That’s right. Handle it like a gentleman, like a non toxic male. Show some strength and compassion. Every coach, doctor, lawyer, businessman, teacher, cashier, engineer and ball player fails or gets fired or folks want them fired at some point.
