But if we beat LSU in NOLA in his home state to go out on top again I would be encouraging him to go. He deserves to get the big bucks

Heisman would absolutely have to be on the table with another offseason to work him into the passing game. Whew.

If he wants to obliterate all Clemson and ACC rushing records, then come on back.

That's the thing about the defense that Ohio State runs. Any team that plays with 1 high safety instead of 2 will always have an extra defender in the box, which makes it very difficult to run on, even when the OL is doing a good job.

I am sorry, but ETN please go get yours in the NFL. While personally I would love for him to come rampage through another Natty run, the young man needs to collect the Benjamins while he is hot.
Coming back next year I don’t see improving his signing bonus. Running back is probably the most brutal position in all of football. The body only has so many hits In it.

Barring an injury, the money will still be there. He might feel he needs to continue working on blocking and receiving out of backfield.
With all that said, I have no problems if this young man goes after the money next year. That’s life altering money for him and his family.

The coaches should be telling him to go.

If he were to celebrate back, then he could become the first running back to play in 4 consecutive national title games. At least in the modern area. Perhaps ever. Would be interesting to know.

He needs to go guys. Not much more he can accomplish at this level and the shelf life of an NFL running back isn't long. Gonna miss him when he does go. I believe he has officially unseated my all time favorite, Terry Allen, as the G.O.A.T. back in school history!

He's not rated as a first rounder right now
Dec 29, 2019, 6:00 PM

which is idiotic. Personally, I hope he says goodbye in a huge game in his home state for a championship. RB's have a limited shelf life.
If he stays, that would be remarkable. But we will have real talent at RB next year regardless. He's the best RB in Clemson history, and it's not even close. CJ was a better APB, but Travis is the best pure runner we've ever had

He is not rated in the first round because of his pass protection. This is a MUST in the NFL. He needs one more year of work on his pass protection and his pass receiving - then he's first round.

There Could Be Conditions ---

If we lose to LSU very badly...Etienne might think about getting rid of that bad taste in the mouth and give it one more crack at it and leave with Trevor and some others------- ''' Might That Is ''' ...because he does have what you call quiet competitive pride.
If we win the Natty.....Etienne is going into the stands with his family and they're going home to plan out their future fortunes. So that will definitely be it.

I've been telling you guys for weeks that he is coming back. He wants to graduate. He needs to work on his pass protection. He loves this team and the university.
He will make even bigger bucks after next year when he improves his pass receiving and protection.
And if you don't watch out Tee may come back too.

That would be awesome. Amari already said he was coming back. Tee, Amari, ETN, Ross, and TLaw together for another run would be awesome.

I do not think he is a first round pic. I don't think he got enough attention. If he comes back, he could certainly earn a first rounder.
