Penalties and missed field goals are part of performance. You can't say a team "gave the game away" due to penalties and missed field goals. That is equivalent to saying a team didn't win because they missed tackles or didn't score touchdowns.

Our defense was directly responsible for those missed field goals due to tackles for loss and sacks when they were close to the red zone. Their penalties were due to inconsistency in performance. We were more consistent thus less penalties and mental errors.

We lost to Duke because we had a number of busts and mental errors. We beat Louisville because we didn't.

I'm sure in that situation refs arent looking too insert themselves in the outcome but the stuff was blatent. I like on the one PF how their rb helped our D guy up after he got tossed

Great points all around! This team could have folded on the season before the FSU game and the Louisville game, they didn't! This shows character! All the non athlete, couch warming naysayers wanted the building to collapse! Keep blocking out the noise Tigers and Grind!!!!! Go TIGERS!
