the part I do not get, being Babalon b and all, is why so much love for firearms among Christians? Christ certainly did not carry one, I know this for a fact because I have yet to see a photograph of him carrying one. He was more like, turn the other cheek, love thy neighbor, etcc.. I am not sure how guns fit into that mantra of loving and forgiveness. possibly a Christian can explain this one for me, because he died for our sins and if someone breaks into your home, or robs you at gunpoint, it is MOST definitely god's will and you likely did something to deserve it, or are being tested.

Because more radicalized churches and many mega churches (I know New Spring does this) really do think they need to have some sort of Christian uprising or revolution to "take back America" so they push gun ownership heavily.
I can't tell you how many New Springers I know who have 0.0 skill with firearms but went out and bought one without knowing what they're doing.

I saw a reply below about the newspringers and some sort of revolt... I don't doubt that is the case in certain instances, but I don't have any first hand experience with it.
Regarding a Christian's love of firearms... I *think* that it's somewhat of a coincidence than a causation...
Around these parts, your white country/conservative folks tend to be Christian and tend to love guns. (large demographic)
White country/conservative non-Christians also tend to love guns (small demographic).
White liberals tend to be non-Christian and not love guns. (large demographic)
White liberals that ARE Christian probably don't love guns. (small demographic)
The love of guns is tied to the conservative political beliefs and/or rural upbringing and not religion - at least that's my off-the-cuff answer.
I could be wrong.

Let’s just say we advanced from the days of David and Goliath.
What is more funny is that people like to use the word “love” to spin their narrative when the actual word necessity is the one they are looking for. I possess guns NOT because I “Love them”, I own them because I think it is a good investment for family and self security. What is so difficult in understanding this?
