Clemson men's tennis team is headed to Duke and UNC this weekend to kick off the ACC slate. First up is Duke in Durham tomorrow at 2 p.m.

Duke is #11 in the country and is 9-5 on the year with a win against #7 Kentucky. Their losses are to take 8 teams like Virginia, Harvard and Columbia expect for a surprise loss to #44 Northwestern who we also lost to.


Duke singles line-up.

1. #64 Garret Johns, Sr. Atlanta,GA
2. #31 Pedro Rodenas, So. Madrid,Spain
3. Andrew Zhang, Gr. Bloomfield Hills,MI
4. Connor Krug, Jr. Lakewood Ranch,FL
5. Jake Krug, Jr. Lakewood Ranch,FL (twins)
6. Alexander Visser, Fr. Wesport,CT

They may swap Johns and Rodenas at 1 and 2. They've been trading those two at the top all year. Last year, our #1 Azuma had match points vs Johns and was on the verge of beating him before Johns made the big comeback.

The bottom of their lineup has actually been been more susceptible than expected so far this year with a lot of their losses coming because 4-6 lost.

This would be a massive upset win for Clemson but unlikely to happen. Beating UNC on Sunday is more likely as they are down this year and only ranked #46 which is very low for them.

Good info. I know we need to be patient, but I am excited to see how the men will fare against ACC competition in year 1 of Wagner.

We can beat VT, Miami and Notre Dame. I would like for us to scare one of the higher ranked teams to. Might be able to pick off UNC or GT as well.

to get 2 points on the board for Clemson. Duke wins easily at 3 and 4. It will come down to 1 and 2 where Azuma leads on 1 and Abderrahman will need to rally on court 2
