Strozier got the lion share of the snaps not named Terrell or Hampton. Lukas only managed 10 snaps while Strozier was in the mid 30's. It's disappointing that a guy that's been around as long as Lukas has is being passed by a guy like Strozier who is improving, but still needs a ton of physical development (he's one of the culprits of being too soft on the perimeter). If Terrell goes down for any extended period of time, we are seriously cooked. CB need to be a very high priority in the portal next year.

Sometimes you have to use a player until the next guy up improves. Once he improves he is on the field. Looks like Lukas has been passed. Do not be surprised is Lukas enters the portal in January.

Are you serious? He was one of our best tacklers last year, The dude is physical and would dominate in the flat. He had 32 tackles and 8 pass breakups last year. If I had to guess, he is either banged up, or is not as good a fit in Allen's scheme.

Correct, Balm.......he showed up with tons of ability and a huge upside but injuries have held him back.

Most of the time the ball is thrown Lukas’ way, he’s getting smoked.
It almost seems like he’s hurt, the way he’s moving so slow… but it’s been like that the last few years. It’s been really bad, so him getting passed up doesn’t surprise me.

Always thought Lukas looked like a natural safety. Slow hips are what hinder him the most at corner. However, he has great length, tracks the ball well, and is a willing tackler. We may never know

Lukas appeared to have potential against the pass as a freshman but seems to have not improved. He has always been weak against the run. Teams tend to run wide on his side.

Was he a 4/5 star? I honestly can't remember, but other than a few players from Daniel, what players from tbe upstate of SC have made impacts at Clemson? As someone who loves high school football, the upstate of SC has very weak competition. I worry anytime we sign a kid that from the area because of that. Watch some local games or tbe Friday highlights shows. 99% of games are 50 something to zero every week. Its pretty bad. Lukas was a shot, but highly unlikely at major D1 level from the get go. He hot a 4yr degree and git to play some. Can't feel bad for him. Just got beat by a better player.

Correct. Safety would accent his talents and hide his weaknesses. He is not the first Clemson player to be playing at the wrong position. I often said that KB2 was the best WR to ever play QB at Clemson.
