Honestly, I believe he has the physical talent. But apparently he's not making the right "head" decisions. It's 51% head and 49% physical, IMO.

I believe the number of HCs and OCs that he has had in his pro career definitely has contributed to his development.

Best answer for that question would have to be Jacksonville Jaguars, but I believe the ownership and the Head Coaching has failed Trevor a lot more than Trevor has failed them!!!

Excellent college QBs fail at becoming excellent pro QBs every single draft. Lawrence is no different.
Like my wife says about nurses. The best nurses are born to be nurses. Same goes for pro quarterbacks. You are either born to do it or you are not.
Some quarterbacks were not born for college. They muddle through college and then get drafted in the 3rd round or later and turn out to be good or even great NFL players.

Look at the Heisman Trophy winners from 2000-2014, 13 QBs, 12 NFL busts. Great college play at QB is very difficult to translate into NFL success

The classic example that proves college greatness does not equal NFL success is Matt Leinart and Matt Cassell. Cassel never started a game in college and was Leinarts back-up (was Carsom Palmers backup before that).
Leinart was the Heisman winner, won two national championships. Cassel threw a total of 33 passes for 192 yards in his college career.
Then in the NFL.
Leinart was drafted at an expensive #10 1st round and Cassel as a cheap round 7 no terrible far away from being Mr Irrelevant.
Cassel made it 14 years in the NFL. Leinart made it 7.
Cassel started 60 games to Leinart's 18. Across the board Cassel was the better NFL player than Leinart.
Even more so Ryan Fitzpatrick was drafted lower than Cassel in 2005 and made an even longer NFL career of 17 years as probably the most famous journeyman quarterback of all time.

Tigernet will just tell you it's the team he's on, but he's just not taken the next step. He's has accuracy and ball placement issues dating back to 2019. When he's on he can make every throw, but he's way too inconsistent to leverage that into being a top QB. Issues are plaguing him regardless of pressure, openness of receivers, etc... He's not getting a ton of help, but he's also caused a lot of his own problems.

Being the #1 pick doesn't always have an upside since they almost always go to the worst team with the worst coaches in the league.

Because he’s stuck in a he!!hole that always has sucked, sucks now, and always will suck. He’ll never accomplish anything worthwhile there. Put him with a halfway decent program, and he’ll go to the HOF. But time is running out.
