He's hit me with several TD . . . can't remember if it was because I hate dogs, I think Springsteen blows, I think Steely Dan sucks, Brownlee is a HUGE stain on the GREAT Clemson name . . . . what else, Father ?
There were probably more.
BUT - I will say - I don't think I ever gave you the huge props you deserved for spreading the word on the ingredients and tools needed to make WORLD-CLASS microwave popcorn . . . . I followed all your wrecks and it is phenomenal. My kids love it and my wife eats it off of me nekkid. So - thanks for that.

he was still playing covers, as intros into his songs. And prolly a 4 hr show. Hit the gas and roll non-stop. Like the Miami loud game in the Valley, I was ready for it to be over. A lot of Born to Run and Darkness at the Edge of Town, plus earlier. What a band, what a night.
Saw Clarence Clemmons in a bar in Houston a few yrs later with his Soul Review, also great.
Can't speak to later work, understand the criticism for that.

held in way too high esteem by all those "JoyZee" kids who invaded Clemson when I was a student...
Anytime I hear a track off that MF'n "Born in the USA" album I literally start to gag... All those JoyZee kids in Johnstone played that overrated album at ear splitting level practically every weekend...

he worshipped Springsteen and played his stuff 24/7. I had barely heard of him when I arrived at CU and QUICKLY grew to hate hate HATE his music. I know it was never had a fair chance though.

people started raving about "The Boss". WhatTF? Boss of what exactly? At the time, and for several years, I flat out couldn't stand him and his music. It was well into the 80s before some of his stuff began to grow on me a little. For me now, any greatness lies in his songwriting, not in his singing or performing, which I don't care for.
