Logan Rudolph/LB options

With Shaq leaving and the log jam of talent at DE, could someone like Logan Rudolph move to LB? He seems to have the same body type as Smith/Skalski and it would be valuable to get him more snaps.

I'm thinking he'll stay at DE.***

LB has lots of depth also that’s why Shaq Smith left for more playing time.

The 2018 roster has Logan as a LB.
So maybe he has been cross training since his redshirt for a just in case at either position.
He is young enough in the system that he still has some time to break through at one or the other positions.
Whether he is a backer or a DE, don't sleep on him. He is a big Ben Bouelware type and will go 100% no matter what....just like Venables likes it.

I made that suggestion earlier this year but most said heck no and that was before Shaq left in the Portolet! I keep hearing he is pretty athletic so I then wondered about TE especially if BG doesn't get his appeal approved this year.
If he is as athletic as I've heard mentioned then I would love for him to get some playing time and not lost in the DL depth charts.

Don’t see him moving but would like to see muse move. We have plenty of safeties now plus an army of freshman dbs.

Tanner muse to LB and Denzel Johnson up to a starter sounds great. Johnson was a top 5 Safety in the whole ACC apparently and Isaiah Simmons was #1 lol

I like this idea

Muse’s strength as a safety is his run support and realistically game scripts are going to dictate that teams are going to have to throw to catch up to us. So you could argue that having another LB with some coverage skills and adding a safety that’s better in coverage would be more beneficial

Yeah, but his best position would be the one played by Simmons and the side we need help on is the side Shaq was competing for. I'd argue put Skalski in the middle and let Rudolph battle Smith on the outside.

I think smith will be in middle and skalski will be outside, muse would be a liability in Simmons spot each to much 1 v 1 on the slot wr which is where muse struggles, I don’t want him on anything other than a TE MAYBE a back. Would like to see him all the way to will/mike not Sam.
