I for one hope it’s true. These kids want to be paid like professional athletes and then back out of a commitment whenever things don’t go as they expected. Take the ball and run home when coach hurts their feelings and makes them do extra burpees. Boo hoo. That kind of entitlement should be treated exactly how Dabo supposedly treated it.

while preparing young men for the world is becoming less and less a thing. Clemson is a program that recruits character and has expectations therein. Kid couldn't hack it and made it personal. Entitlement. Maybe dad will realize his mistake and fix it, but it's obvious where the kid got the notion if you know what I mean.

I don't know what happened exactly. Obviously wasn't there. But the ironic thing is I would imagine Kinard's practices under Danny Ford would be like hell on earth compared to today's practices.

He wasn’t and isn’t in it for the money.
He wasn’t playing much and decided to transfer. He made that decision long before Dabo supposedly humiliated him at practice.
Current rules allow players to transfer without penalty. Scholarships are one year contracts, renewable each year. Jaden didn’t back out. He simply decided to go elsewhere.
It’s sad that some of our “fans” want to bash a kid who by all accounts was a fine student-athlete and didn’t get into any trouble, simply because he has an issue with how he was treated. Posts here criticizing him and his dad are not becoming of a fan base that prides itself on being classy.

That is a reasonable comment. You just left out one part that I have added in parentheses.
Posts here criticizing him and his dad (or the coach involved, without having first hand knowledge of what happened,) are not becoming of a fan base that prides itself on being classy.

It’s about how he handled it today.
I would be shocked if Dabo set out to humiliate someone. However, it is entirely possible that he got caught up in the moment and lost his cool and said things he shouldn’t have.
I don’t expect Dabo to publicly admit it if he was wrong, but I would like to see him acknowledge that he might’ve inadvertently hurt or offended a player, rather than implying that anyone who has a problem with him is soft and not cut out for college football.
The pattern with Dabo when he is questioned is to dig his heels in, double down, and criticize the other person. It calls into question his ability to reflect as well as his emotional maturity.

But David said both yesterday and today that Dabo had the mic during practice and that Batson was running the accountability drill. And no one heard Dabo berating anyone. So are you calling David Hood a liar?
