Should Dabo bring Tommy Bowden back to head up the

football relations department? I don't think it would be a bad idea.
With all the negative press Clemson is receiving lately, combined with the new challenges coaches are facing with recruiting, PED's, alchohol issues, etc... someone like Bowden would be an excellent "face" of our program. I think he still has a love for Clemson.
This would allow Dabo to delegate the stuff he really hates (like giving interviews), and would free him up to get more involved in the day to day coaching and offensive and defensive schemes.

What negative press? Did a google news search and the worst I could find was a non-story about the dining hall "offending" a few students with some kind of Taco Tuesday on a Friday (or whatever) event.

interviews. He seems to be the type of guy who has never met a microphone he didn't like.
As to you idea. I like it, but isn't that kind of what Brad Scott and or Jeff Davis are supposed to be doing? I'm not sure, but it seems like we have a large enough staff already that we could have someone already on staff fill this roll. I agree Tommy still has love for the program, but I think he would rather go into a studio once a week talk football, get paid, and go back to the beach than take a full time position back at Clemson. I could be wrong.

Well as long as you leave out player's domestic abuse and a few other big problems CTB had here you might have something there. Personally I have enough trouble watching him on that ACC show. Maybe he and SOS can start their own network and get Louser to handle their PR! Next idea to get Dabo fired?

Apparently some people are taking York's post serious?? I am pretty sure he's just bored and trolling up some excitement. Nevertheless... some CTB supporters are unhappy with you judging by your thumbs down. Smh. BTW, I gave you a thumbs up brother! Go Tigers!

It's a terrible idea for one simple reason - people are political animals, and you get three of them together and they form a government.
You do not bring back a deposed king as the PR mouthpiece for the next one. He might smile and bob and nod, but deep down he still thinks he's the king, he still regards it as his kingdom, and he's going to try to get it back.
Tommy Bowden does not think he "failed" at Clemson. I guarantee if you could ever sit him down and get a couple drinks of him, he'd wax eloquently on the "political" situations and handcuffs on his regime that led to his ouster, and how Dabo is just benefitting from all the work Tommy Bowden put in. He might even have some good points. Tommy Bowden coached a very different Clemson program than Dabo inherited, and he did not have 1/10 the initial support that Dabo did, a BOT that was athletics-friendly, good facilities, and he was handcuffed by an academic review board that kept DQ'ing key recruits right as he was about to land them, only to see those same guys wind up at rival ACC schools and then head on to the NFL. So Tommy's got some legit beefs. Clemson football was in horrifyingly bad shape when Bowden arrived in 1999; Hatfield, West, and the Clemson administration had done a spectacular job of running Danny Ford's program into the ground.
Tommy got a lot of things turned around, fought and won a lot of battles...but at the end of the day, he was a bad gameday coach - which is why no one will touch him with a fork after that even at startup programs like Southern Alabama - and was not the man to get things over the top. And let us not forget the bait-and-switch job Tommy pulled on us by flirting with the Arkansas job just six games before he was fired; he essentially blackmailed the administration into a new contract with a massive buyout...he took a nice little $3.5 million severance package from Clemson on the way out the door, if memory serves, in addition to all the millions a year he got paid before that to drop at least four games a year he shouldn't have.
Bringing back Tommy B is throwing Clemson money away after he already leveraged Clemson out of a lot more of it than he really earned, and worse, it's likely creating political discord where none needs to exist.

Always felt things kinda ended on a sour note and TB didn't really deserve a mid-season firing ( even though it was the right thing ). He did a lot for this university and he'll forever be a part of the Clemson family. So I say why not?

I agree with many of your points. However the whining about players he could not get in school TB was prone to do never impressed me. I remember the situation with one QB whose name escapes me that got kicked off the UTenn team for assaulting another student with help from a teammate. According to TB he was going to be the next Woody and UNC was going to get him if we didn't. I didn't understand first why we would want someone captured on video assaulting a regular student with a baseball bat after previous trouble no less. Second, how he would be able to get in Clemson or UNC after being one of the few players ever actually kicked off a UTenn team that could play. Maybe TB knew something about UNC's recently revealed academic "program". I don't know. I do remember the kid ended up in Miss. Perhaps Southern Miss and never set the world on fire. It just seemed that TB used his battles with the academic committee as another excuse in the one player or one play away from football glory theme he rode into irrelevance.
