Lets Try Something New Against GT

Going to get hate for this one, but after analyzing DJU's performance in the first two games, I think it might be beneficial to start TP against GT. It is obvious that DJ is in his head a good bit, and that his mental state is causing his performance to suffer. Personally, I liked the tempo of the offense when TP was in the game, and think he provides a greater threat with regards to running as opposed to DJ. So, against another inferior opponent, it would be highly advised that TP start the game to see what he can truly do with the 1's in on offense. Then, if he fails to perform allow DJ to step back in and take control. However, if TP can handle the offense, then it may possibly be time for a qb battle to ensue. As much as I regret to say it, I do not believe that DJ will be the talented superstar that we all expected him to be during his moonlighting during TL absence last year. If TP can perform, he gives us a better chance at a clean run the rest of the year.

I think we’ll need to make a qb change sooner rather than later or else we’re going to lose to one of the teams we aren’t supposed to. Unfortunately not all players pan out, 4 starts is plenty to see what he has. It didn’t take Bama’s qb or many other newcomers that many games to look good. He doesn’t need to be TL, but he needs to look confident and in control.

They see these guys in practice every day and ultimately will do what is best for the team.
I'll say this - this past weekend was the best that I've seen TP play which is encouraging. TP has come a long way and it was good to see him have some success on the field. I think TP has probably earned some more playing time and I guess we will see what the coaches do.
I also hope that DJ continues to focus on his craft and gains the confidence he needs to lead this team. DJ has an incredible upside - if he and the coaches can just get things to "click" then Clemson's offense will be fine.

You ooze sarcasm, however I will raise you this.
1.) Tua on bench in Bama NC game, came in completely turned the game around (better qb).
2.) Trevor on bench, KB playing. KB benched, Trevor takes us to NC victory (better qb again).
3.) Ian book at ND wins starting job, over older player. Takes them to semi-final game against Clemson (Better qb yet again)
So it entirely possible that yet again the better qb is on the bench at Clemson. Don't act like it isn't a possibility. Hence why I advocate for TP to take reps with the 1's this weekend. Worst comes to worst we are stuck with the headcase that is currently DJU.
