This one is better...
Fact #1: 179-138-18 is the SEC's overall record vs. CLemson
Fact #2: Take out usc (the bottom feeder of the SEC) and it’s 136-65-14
What winning percentage is that in Fact #2?
Bonus Question: Keeping with that same winning percentage in Fact #2...if CLemson played three SEC games per year, how many would they win?

My guess is that Clemson’s record vs. the SEC came against the top tier of teams. Not a winning record for sure, but we tend to play Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia during the regular season, and those and others in bowl games.
Plus, you conveniently included SC’s record all time vs. Clemson, not their record since joining the conference. Btw USC is not in the SEC. They’re in the B1G.

SEC teams vs CLemson historical records
UGA 44-18-4 Bama 14-5-0 Arkansas 0-0-0 Auburn 34-15-2 Florida 9-3-1 Kentucky 8-6-0 LSU 3-1-0 Miss St 1-1-1 Missouri 1-3-1 Ole Miss 2-0-0 Oklahoma 2-3-0 South Carolina 43-73-4 Tennessee 12-6-2 Texas A&M 3-3-3 Texas 0-0-0 Vanderbilt 3-1-0
Totals: 179-138-18
Nobody cares if it's a regular season vs. bowl matchup. Nobody talks about what the record is before joining a certain conference. What is the overall series record of two teams matched up? That is what they show before the game...Clemson leads the overall series record 73-43-4 over South Carolina etc. Nothing more, nothing less.

What do games from 120yrs ago have anything to do with today???
There’s no clear line but I’ve always sided with using something like the years the HC has been here or 20yrs (avg age of college players). Because anything prior to that has almost nothing to do with todays program

Let me rephrase the question for the slower members of our audience
How many times has Alabama and UGA played in American football and what was the outcome of those contests?
How many times has current UGA Coach Kirby Smart beat Alabama?

I get it. Make an implication, then make rules that only allow comments that support your position. I’m saying we mostly play the best teams in your conference, not the weaker teams, of which there are more than a few.
You are the one boasting about the strength of your conference, so should you include games played when teams were not in the conference?
I imagine that if Clemson had been in the SEC, we would have won at least as many conference titles as Georgia has during the past decade. If we become members in the future, we will acquit ourselves very well. We won’t dominate as we have in the ACC, but we won’t be cellar dwellers either, like some other schools I could name.

I will never understand SEC fans and cheering for teams in their conference. I don't see any other fans throughout the country that cheer on their conference. The only team I care about is Clemson. I could careless about any other team in the conference or the country.
You can talk about overall records vs this and that, but guess what, Georgia has the same number of Championships as little ol' Clemson does. Last I checked, Championships were the only thing that mattered. Seeing you bring up historical records as well, I guess the University of Minnesota is a better program than both Georgia and Clemson and most SEC schools as they have more national championships.

I never said I cheered for other SEC teams. I just posted facts of historical records between SEC teams and CLemson...since the SEC is talked about so much here.
UGA has 4 NCs to Clemson's 3. UGA also plays in a much, much tougher conference (I don't have to tell you that). UGA was never on probation the year after a NC either. The number of NCs a team has is not the pinnacle stat of a successful program though.
According to many here, graduation rates are the most important stat of all.

You are the one who mentioned historical records. So I just thought I would apply the same logic that you were applying. BTW the NCAA only recognizes 3 Nattys for Georgia. As I said yesterday in a reply to one of your posts, to say the SEC is a tougher conference is like saying it just means more. Those are slogans. Those are opinions, not facts. The game of football is a brutal sport no matter what conference it is played in. Are there good teams in the SEC, yes. But you also have some of the worst teams in your conference as well. But you try to exclude those when it comes to historical records. Cootlumbia, Vandy, MSU, Arkansas, Kentucky and even Mizzou have been some of worst teams in the last 20 years. Conveniently most of those schools resided in the east division of the SEC. The very same division your team resided in before going to no divisions.

You’re team is currently #2 in the country. Is your life so meaningless that you have nothing better to do than waste your time on this message board? I don’t give a 💩 what y’all talk about on your boards. Probably conversation about how to get y’all’s players off of criminal charges. You recently had a player accused of harming AN UNBORN CHILD!!! Y’all sold your souls to the devil to win games. Ain’t worth it, dood.

My guess was correct ..... you don't know the answer. Incidentally, I think you are probably including Georgia Tech when they were in the SEC ...... all games played in Atlanta ...... and the vast majority of the UGA games played in Athens. I think 43 is also the average SAT scores of the players from South Carolina that played for the cheatin' dogs before cheatin' was legal!

I posted CURRENT SEC teams historical records vs Clemson. How is that confusing?
Since you brought Ga Tech up, they lead the series over Clemson 51-36-2.
Georgia leads the series vs Ga Tech 71-41-5.

No arguing how good the SEC is.
Clemson no doubt had some bad years of FB. Some facts you left out.
The number of games that were played at SEC stadiums and not in Clemson. If those games were split evenly home and away those numbers would be different. Clemson has also played the top teams from the SEC for the most part.
Clemson has been better than GA during the playoff era. 6 straight appearances. Played in 4 championship games and won 2. GA has had success as well but not like Clemson and Alabama.
Clemson just had one of the greatest periods in the history of CFB.
Once the Playoff period began Clemson proved it on the field.

This is why I think being a Clemson fan has been so satisfying and joyful. I grew up never actually thinking we could win it all. But loving the team nonetheless. National champions never crossed my mind too much. And then we get 2. I’ll be happy with that forever.

Honestly ..... if my university graduated 43% of its football players ...... 20% points less that the next lowest program, I sure as heck would not be boasting about any other number ...... especially for events that happened decades ago. It is a total embarrassment, and current one at that, that can't be erased by any score a month ago, fifty years ago, or next week. It amazes me how it can be justified under any circumstance. How can any parent think it is ok for their son to join a program with those numbers.

UGA = Worst in the league for graduation rate. UGA = Highest in the league for arrests. Georgia has had at least 25 arrests or citations for speeding, reckless driving or racing since the fatal crash of Jan. 15, 2023 that killed offensive lineman Devin Willock and recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy. - USA Today
At Clemson, winning isn't everything. Players learn the importance of character and doing unto others as you would have done unto you. It's obvious that Kirby only cares about winning, at all costs.

Because academics has nothing to do with college football anymore. It's all about the money. If you can make more money in two years playing college football than the average person makes in a lifetime why would you even consider academics....that doesn't even enter the decision process anymore. I know.....everything is upside down now.

From a UT and UGA fan I certainly understand why you think that, as it has never been important to you. I can't tell you how many players from South Carolina went to play for UGA because they could not be admitted to Clemson, or even South Carolina, at the pre SEC time, due to academics.
