Crazy game. Don't think I've ever seen this before.

Most Nole fans (who are in the media) are predicting Clemson to win. Most Clemson fans are predicting FSU to win.
That is how bad both teams have been this year. Fans follow their own team closer, so the attitude seems to be "I know their team is not having a good year, but our team is even worse."
How do I analyze it?
I have confidence in the Clemson offense. I have no confidence in the Clemson defense. As for FSU, one game against Wake does not erase the 4 game losing streak, including the pathetic performance at Stanford.
So, given that deep and exhaustive analysis, here is my conclusion -
Clemson could win close. FSU could win close. Clemson could win big. FSU cannot win big. (I expect Clemson offense to score a bunch of points. I think FSU might score a bunch of points, but they might not.)

I got to film this game from the sidelines. Furman's SID who I worked freelance for got me a sideline pass. I was at the goal posts when they game down the hill and have movies of it somewhere. MUch less a production back the but the players ran down the Hill they didnt skip down it like first graders as they do now.
FSU beat us 43-7. Clemson went 2-9 that year after lots of preseason hype following beating GT and UGa in 1074. Sound familiar. FSU fired their coach, Mudra, after his second hear there and brought in ole awww shucks, Booby. I dont think these two teams have met being as bad since then until this year.

At least 98% of the fans wanted and thought Norvell would be fired...

... the day after the Stanford debacle.
Now, the fan base is a mixture of the following. 1. I hope we lose so that Norvell will be fired. 2. I want us to win out but I still want Norvell fired. 3. I'm afraid if we win out he won't be fired. 4. The problem with firing him is there is no guarantee the next guy will be better.
There are some thinking he will be fired and we will hire James Franklin. There are a few saying that we should let him coach next year. The schedule is brutal so no point in brining in a new coach and having him start with a horrible record. Let him coach 26 and save the cost of the buyout.

So what I’m hearing is we need to let FSU win so you keep Norvell around 🤔

I'm completely different, I say under. For some reason, I see a slogfest. I would side with fsu fans. Really think we match better with fsu than we do an smu or cuse with angeli.
How healthy is castellono- sp. We can stop the run and I think both teams are alot alike in offense schemes. Our passing against duke was mainly extension of the run. It's the QB's that can read the D quickly and throw it accurate or touch.
I'll mention Bret for the above post. Not sure mention works in subject header.

Tommy C is better, but not completely healthy.

The offense really struggles when he can't run.
I think the clemson O will score against FSU. Our pass defense has been shaky all year. Tony White just doesn't have enough quality athletes on defense to run yjr 3-3-5 that he likes. He has to put in 4 DL most of the time, and our LB group is very week in pass defense.
The question is how much can the Clemson D improve upon the pitiful performance of last week. We have quality WRs, led by Duce Robinson. If the passing game gets going this could be a "first to 50 wins" type of game.

Sounds familiar!

Judging by how both teams have played so far this season, the team with the fewest screw ups will win. Both, I expect, will have a fair number. The team that can focus itself best will come out on top. FSU has had a couple of games (Bama & Wake) that they played great. Clemson's had a couple (UNC & BC) that we played good. Think this is FSU's to lose. We have played our worst games at home this season (for whatever reason).

My biggest takeaway from this season will be just disbelief at how awful our defense is. Can’t imagine us stopping anybody. Yes the offense is putrid and embarassing but man this is the worst defense I can remember. Helpless toothless feckless weak slow confused pathetic.

8ve come to think that whichever team has best cleaned their glass bellybutton the best will win. There would seem to be no excuse for the record either team has.
I caught a bit of the Mismi game. The intensity from both teams amazed me. If the Noles play with the same intensity on Saturday, I believe we will be toast. Truthis, I don't think I've seen Clemson play with intensity all year.

Bret......the way things have gone this season, I would look for Clemson offense to be shutout, the Clemson defense to play lights out and shutout FSU to a 0-0 tie, which Clemson wins in OT as FSU decided they no longer wanted to play. PLUS, the highlight of the day will be Clemson coaches in an all out fist fight on the sidelines during the game. That's my take on it.
